(Open) Between the velvet lies

Dio was a creature in it's element tonight, a naturally charismatic man who possessed all the talents one needed for courtship, flattery, and moving about in the cut throat world of nobility. To Dio whispering the sweet words and meaningless flattery that the noble women so desired from men like him was but a matter of course, many a time Dio had made a zombie maiden blush as he pointed out a minute detail in her outfit and praised it before reminding her that it paled before her own beauty.

For here, Dio was a monster that the Pale Moors had yet to see, in a world dedicated to the arts of war and in an army dedicated to slaughter they had never met someone who cared for the "Simple" things called affection and influence, here Dio won notoriety from the noble men as he talked with them about the joys of hunting and the techniques he used with a spear. You see, for compared to the bloody world of duels and assassinations that made up English nobility the Pale Moors which rarely knew a party, let alone a politically minded man possessed of great charisma, someone who seemed to care and seemed to know just the honeyed words that would delight the heart of many a maiden. Like a shark he would zero in on his targets, and exploit their every weakness, leaving blushing noble ladies and proud looking noblemen in his wake.

Indeed, Dio could be said to be more dangerous here than anywhere else. This was his arena, as a man of impossible charisma who was willing to lie and flatter any who he believed could help him, and as the host of an event that was backed by a sponsor with impossible resources it was nothing more than perfection to see Dio flow through the crowds, but even this movement wasn't random. Dio carefully chose his targets from the masses, gliding through the crowds to find a wall flower here, a displeased looking nobleman there, all targets that Dio would size up examine the few conversations they had with their friends before hand before coming in, pretending to be an interested or sympathetic party he would chat with them for a moment, feigning the pity that he never felt before moving on to the next target. A monster completely devoid of empathy and possessed of a terrifying talent for manipulation roamed the dance floors. Taking the hand of lonely maidens and treating them to a waltz with the host, passing them off to other noble men and directing the flow of the party as effortlessly as some would breathe. Decades of practice and courtship training in The Joestar Mansion he had grown up in had prepared him perfectly for this day, and with every practiced motion he would ingratiate himself towards these nobles who had never known someone so talented.

In many ways Dio was merely exercising the strategy of a successful predator in a social atmosphere, picking off the weak in the pack and devouring them for his own gain, playing on the heart strings of those too stupid to realize that they were being played for fools, that is until he reached a table with a boy in a strange green, gold, and earth tone garb. Dio chuckled as he saw the monkey masked boy, if there was ever anyone as obvious as prime it was him, and from the scent coming off of him he was entirely human as well. Sliding through the crowd like a shade he'd find a seat beside Aang, Dio looking him in the eyes as he'd say.

"Now who are you? I don't remember you being on the list of nobles, and no one around here has any human play things. Oh, but it seems I've forgotten my manners. I am Dio Brando, the host of this prestigous event, a man with peerless ambition and an eye for talent. Talent that I can see you definitely have."

He'd say chuckling once as he'd swirl a glass of blood wine, the dark red dregs of the wine swirling in the glass, the iron scent that came off it wafting towards Aang as he would oxidize the mixture before taking a sip, vampiric fangs letting Aang know just who, or perhaps rather what, was sitting beside him. The golden wolf mask that the host wore now seemed all the more appropriate, Dio chuckling for a moment before he'd speak his tone aloof and friendly.

"There's no point in hiding it, I don't even need any special powers to tell a man like you isn't from here or any verse. Those strange tattoos and your strange outfit tell me all I need to know in regards to you being a prime. Though, I would like to say that I, Dio, wish you no harm. I understand that seeing a man drinking blood has to be terrifying for someone as obviously new as you. However, tonight I'm only drinking the blood of the dead. It is after all quite bad manners for a host to try and eat his guests."

He'd say, chuckling as he'd watch Aang, gauging his reaction to his presence, seeing how he'd respond to Dio drinking blood right beside him. All his words and actions were carefully weighted, it was obvious from how Aang had been watching the door earlier that he either wanted to leave desperately or he was looking for someone here at the party, and as a Prime Dio had every intent on recruiting every last one he could. After all, in this world Omnilium was power, and while one could accrue quite a bit of it through their actions and deeds there was no better source of Omnilium than the one you never had to lift a finger to get. So, Dio had hosted this party with the goal of making him appear generous to Primes and Nobles in this land, and while his whole hand had yet to played he had no intent of letting any potential "fish" escape his net, especially not with one so vulnerable here in his den.
