I'm give people general tips on improving their roster here. Just ask and I'll EVENTUALLY get to you. Whether you want tips on prettying it up, or just ideas on how to make it easier to peruse, I'll do what I can to help. Unless I get overwhelmed, then you might be waiting for awhile. I will also only critique the roster of the character you posted here with.
General tips from what I've seen thus far
Illidan:
First page: drop the signature at the end, but it's concise and to the point. Nothing special, but not bad. I would include a "quick jump" menu at the bottom, to let users jump to the page they wanna read.
2nd page: put the quote below the picture for greater effect.Include an "apparent age", since Illidan doesn't look like a man who's 15k years old.Height and weight should use the same measurement scale. Going from Imperial to Metric is weird. No need for an "alignment," just describe how Illidan acts in your Personality section. It's hard to notice your video links, since they're merely bolded. I'd either embed them, or (preferably) use a color to differentiate them from the rest of the text. I would have put your NPCs on their own page, rather than cramming them onto the Personality one. Lastly, I'd include a short written blurb about Illy's appearance too, just to cement what the picture says.
3rd page: I'd put your Move Descriptions into Spoilers. I'd also separate your Power-Ups and Items into different posts. Short posts are less bothersome to scroll through.
4th page: this is where I would have put your NPCs. And, like your other pages, remove the signature to cut down on bulk.
Overall: Just cut down on the bulk, man. Use Spoiler Tags and separate your things into more Posts. Add a Quick Jump menu to let viewers jump to the page they're looking for, and your Roster will be much improved. All that said, you have lots of awesome detail in your roster. Pretty much any situation you run into, you have an example on the roster as to how Illidan will act within it. Solid work.
General tips from what I've seen thus far
- Click "remove signature" at the bottom of your posts. A bulky roster is a roster no one wants to scroll through.
- Use Spoiler tags for lengthy descriptions and images, again to cut down bulk.
- Split dissimilar items into different posts.
- Include a Quick Jump menu on your first page, for ease of navigation.
- Detailed descriptions are good, but try to use colors, bolding, underlining, or some other method to give out a "cliffnotes" on bulky descriptions by making the important parts "pop".
- Look through the Roster on the site. This is a Grade-A tip. It lets you see things you like and things you don't like. A lot of my roster was built from things I enjoyed from Sasuke's, Luffy's, and Tearen's Rosters.
