Unconventional uses for moves

I'd say you're good. No one would complain if someone used a normal pair of daggers to help climb a mountain. S'long as your swords can cut through the thing you're climbing, you're good there. And for the explosion, I don't see a problem if you could reasonably execute it and it's strong enough to push people back. But, you'd probably get hurt by your explosion, unless you have a non-damaging explosion move.

If you can reasonably use your move for some other utility purpose, then yeah, I'd say you can do that.
