A Reignited Fuse

I headed through Ambrosia to the exit that was closest to the portal to the nexus. If any place sounded like a chance to do what I wanted with no repercussions, It was the lawless sea of sand that makes up the dunes. As I walked out of the city gate, one of the shopkeepers that I had frequently done business with called out to her. “Hey, Cupa, you headed out?”

I flashed a smile and waved. “Yeah, see you later!” The shopkeeper waved as he watched one of his better customers walk out of the city and disappear into the jungle. I dropped the smile as soon as I had turned my back. As I walked through the forest, I kept a tnt ready to be primed in my hand, but found that it wasn’t needed once I got to the clearing the held the nexus portal.

I looked around at the jungle that most resembled my home from before being transported to this world. I had a feeling that this was not the last time that I would visit this realm, although it would be awhile before I was here again. And with that, I stepped through the portal into the Nexus.
