Intermission from Doom
#8
The veteran soldier's words were blunt and to the point, just as much as the guy himself was, Snow figured. The l'Cie let out a complacent chuckle, draining his current glass of the liquid stuff. His thirst was satisfied, and he was starting to get a buzz off of the alcohol, so Snow figured it was fitting for him to just leave it at that. He thanked the server and requested to start up a tab; Snow had an inkling he was going to be here a couple of times.

"Fair enough," Snow shrugged at 'Doom Guy', fully turning to the folks at the bar. Laying his coat and cap strewn across his lap, Snow was left with his white-and-grey pinstripe shirt and messy pale-blond hair out in the open.

"I can't be one to judge, given my own history with jerkass gods." Though Snow did have some inkling that the fal'Cie did have some good meanings behind some of their actions, but being a l'Cie was pretty much being slated as one of their servants- or worse, if you didn't go through with your purpose.

What brought a hint of curtness to the smile on Snow's face was the ninja boy's demonstration of some sort of lightning ability. It made Snow glance to his own l'Cie brand at the thought of demonstrating, but he faltered out of habit. It almost felt a little bit strange, being a l'Cie but not being treated as a public enemy. Not that it was an unwelcome feeling, it was just disorienting after having spent so long avoiding authority.

Snow was probably one of the first to notice the buildup of commotion outside, in spite of his quasi-drunk condition. The present crowd seemed to be building up around an unseen individual; Snow craned his neck over behind him, thinking he could hear noises of fawning or joy. Was it some sort of celebrity or famous figure?

It didn't initially seem like it, when the subject stumbled into the drink shop. The thing was some odd, mocha-and-cream colored creature that looked for all the world like a rabbit standing up on their toes. What was plainly different was the stylistic tufts of fur upon the wrists and brow, as well as the waterfalls of fur drooping off of its perked ears. It was also quite small, a bit over half his own height, at best (though Snow's size probably wasn't the best indicator) and somewhat nubile.

An interesting sight to say the least, but Snow wasn't sure if it warranted the load of people outside looking at the thing with loving, pining eyes. The l'Cie knew at least that for himself, being the center of attention was a really bad thing. As it were, Snow did his best to pay no real mind as the bunny creature carefully stumbled her way upon the bar stool aside the boy.

"Well, at least not everything in this 'Omniverse' is trying to kill us," Snow spoke out loud, to the patrons aside him but mostly in reference to himself. As the words left his mouht, the tall man craned over a bit to get a better look at the rabbit past the hulking soldier and ninja boy. As kindly as he could muster, Snow asked "What do ya call yourself, little fella?"
