Chara sighed, as the last of the hideous abominations fell to the guards of darkshire. "I do not know what the purpose of this raid was." Chara stated with a soft smile. "...but I believe the guard has it handled adequately, Miss Venture." The young mage stated from behind the new prime, with a small smile. The older Dreemurr sibling opened their mouth to add something else to the comment, but was cut off when the sudden feeling of their legs turning to jelly caused them to drop like a sack of potatoes, falling off their feet. With the danger gone, Chara's adrenaline passed, and their concentration at last wavering, the full effects of the abilities they had just abused came down hard upon them. To their surprise, they felt surprisingly strong, thin arms stop them from dropping completely. Before the exhausted mage had time to fall over from their blatant over-use of magic, the human had caught her mid-fall.
A less mature part of them initially reacted with immature hostility... but Chara had been the older dreemurr for too long to actually allow that to surface. instead, after a second, they responded just the way mom had taught them: Politely. "Thank you. I suppose I used a little more magic than I should have in that battle."
