Genesis of Apotheosis

Night came and went without incident. In the morning Strazio roused his companions. They sat around the smoldering remains of their campfire and ate a simple meal that Malon scraped together. Once everyone was awake and fed they started on the trail again. Strazio led the pack and chose to stay several paces ahead of his friends. They reached the vine-choked gate that led to Camelot.

Strazio stopped just shy of the shimmering pool and turned back to the Greens. Tearen’s training grounds had been swallowed by exotic flora. He knew on some subconscious level that he would more than likely never see the eldritch prime again. A hook tugged as his heart and he scowled. Bittersweet is what Valerie would have called it. Strazio had a debt to repay and he hated that it would be left unsettled. Though, perhaps following Tearen’s will was more than enough payment. Perhaps not. Strazio sighed and stepped through the gate.
