Schwi looked at the weapon. It wasn't what 13 suggested. Identifying the user and not activating with the incorrect user was elementary and included in its concept. So there wasn't an obvious answer. The other thing he suggested, that something in the world was modifying its power. But she should have detected such influences when she analyzed the gun and re-created it. She scanned again but nothing on her sensors indicated an unusual magical signature.
She looked at 13. Counter technology to Ex Machina copying, surely such a feat was worked through the power of an Old Dues. Creating concepts that were harmful to her process of copying sounded within the realm of possibility. Schwi said, "I would like to hear more. If more of your kind are here then I may run into them and I would want to know as much tactical information as possible. Specifically I want to know how to avoid fighting. I do not enjoy the risk of killing my opponent. I.. don't want to kill... anyone."
Schwi was about to say more, her mouth opened but then closed and her eyes moved in the direction of her sensors but she did not turn her body. Someone walked within her sensor ranged and she began analysis of this new potential threat immediately. It was terrible timing, she wasn't going to get more information from 13 if someone eavesdropped on their conversation. His information was as sensitive as the information she shared with him.
