See, I was always under the impression that in a graded fight aoe super moves can only target one person, regardless of their effects. In the rules it says you can step in front of a super move aimed at an ally to either absorb the blow instead or block it with your own super move. If Aoe super moves can target everyone and aoe supe defences can protect everyone that makes them strictly better than any other flavor of super moves.
I'd like an official ruling on this because I've heard a bunch of contradicting opinions.
