Schwi tried to move the arm that was shot. It twitch and shuddered as she made the effort and her controls to the hand were shot. The damage had be more significant than she had realized. But her analysis of the weapon... Errors rattled her processes as she tried to understand what was wrong with her systems. She thought she had a solid measure on her enemy and the weapon he used. But the damage output of the weapon exceeded estimation. This had never happened before she had met Riku but it was also fundamentally different. Her calculations were never wrong when it came to physics.
She looked sharply at the arm and the damage that was caused, then back to her own weapon. Perhaps the calculations were faulty from a test shot so different from the original. She fired a second shot into the arm next to the first. The bullet ricocheted, leaving a mark behind along with the substance that made the wound burn. Her eyes shifted as she put all of her efforts into processing. The solution was not apparent. All variables taken into account, conceptual understanding of weapon 74%, output 74%.
She turned her attention back to 13. "I'm sorry, I am distracted. Calculations of damage inconsistent due to unknown variables. I cannot reveal the basic inner workings of Ex Machina technology. What I will tell you is what all races know. Upon receiving the effect from a foreign source, Ex Machina are able to conceptually analyze the concept and re-create that concept as our own magic. I understand the configuration of spirits present in your weapon from the effects it had on me, and am able to replicate that effort. Stronger magic is more difficult to conceptually replicate, but from repeated analysis Ex Machina can achieve 100% understanding of any weapon. Other races know of this ability and so avoid engagement with Ex Machina. Based on your reaction to my display, you are not capable of this."

Would you shoot the water with this weapon? The only variable I have considered that may be the source of my error in calculation is the wielder of the weapon."
