CHARACTER NAME: Eowyn of the House of Eorl
CHARACTER SOURCE: The Lord of the Rings (specifically the novels over the movies)
CHARACTER HISTORY:
{taken from Wikipedia with slight modifications}
In The Two Towers, Éowyn, a daughter of the House of Eorl and the goddaughter of King Théoden of Rohan, is introduced in Meduseld, the king's hall at Edoras. She was the daughter of Théodwyn (Théoden's sister) and Éomund and the sister of Éomer. When she was only seven years old, her father was killed fighting orcs and her mother died of grief. Éowyn and Éomer were raised in her uncle's household as if they were his own children.
Tolkien writes that she longed to win renown in battle—especially since she was royal—but being female, her duties were reckoned to be at Edoras. When Théoden's mind was poisoned by his adviser Gríma Wormtongue, Éowyn was obliged to care for her uncle, and his deterioration pained her deeply. To make matters worse, she was constantly harassed by Gríma, who lusted after her. However, when Gandalf arrived, he freed Théoden from Wormtongue's influence.
Éowyn fell in love with Aragorn, but it soon became clear that he could not return her love although he did not mention his betrothal to Arwen, except by indirect allusion, and would not allow her to join him in going to war. As Aragorn pointed out, her duty was with her people; she had to shoulder the responsibility of ruling Rohan in Théoden's stead when the war-host of Rohan went to war, a duty he deemed no less valiant. Likening her situation to a "cage", Éowyn said she feared "[t]o stay behind bars, until use and old age accept them, and all chance of great deeds is gone beyond recall or desire".
In The Return of the King, she disguised herself as a man and, under the alias of Dernhelm (from Old English dern meaning "secret, concealed"), travelled with the Riders of Rohan to the Battle of the Pelennor Fields outside the White City of Minas Tirith in Gondor, carrying with her Meriadoc Brandybuck, who had also been ordered to remain behind, on her horse Windfola. It was during the peak of the battle of Pelennor fields, moments prior to her confrontation with the Witch-King of Angmar, that Omni transported Eowyn to the Omniverse.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:
Éowyn is described to be very beautiful; she was tall, slim, pale, and graceful, with long golden hair and grey eyes. In temperament she was idealistic, spirited, brave and high-minded, but very lonely, having sacrificed her own happiness for years to care for her sick uncle and meet the responsibilities of a shield-maiden. When engaging in more courtly affairs, Eowyn often wears a plain white dress, embroidered with silver. However she prefers a more functional vest and skirt combination of a muted color. When engaging battle she wears a horse hair helm, durable chainmail and leather jerkin with the emerald cape characteristic of the Rohirrim.

Forth Eorlingas! (requires Buff proficiency, 300 OM)
Though not yet experienced in the commanding of large scale forces, Eowyn nethertheless bears the presence of the House of Eorl, and with it a voice that can command. This cry, accompanied by a suitably dramatic gesture, (such as the presentation of a banner or a defeated enemy captain) can help to signal a shift in a battle. The cry is audible for 15 meters around, and will lend a second wind to those who can hear it, strengthening their resolve, and empowering them for a charge to break a formation of all but the strongest troops. Due to the nature of Omniphysics, Eowyn is actually diffusing her own power
Ashen Spear (requires physical strength, ranged proficiency, 600 OM)
A sturdy six foot length of Ashen wood, braced with iron and tipped with a wide broad blade 20 cm in length and tapering from 12 cm at the base of the blade to about 5 cm at its tip. the blade is better suited for a mounted charge than for a defensive line or extensively fighting on foot. It can be wielded one-handed, in conjunction with a shield or reins, but with somewhat drastic reductions in mobility as a result.
The spear, though somewhat heavy, can be thrown accurately to about 20 meters.
Hasuhyrne, blade of the mark (requires physical strength, 300 OM)
(Literally “the grey corner”)
A full hand-and-a-half blade, almost a meter in length, this tempered iron blade can be wielded with a shield, or held with a two-handed fighting stance with equal effectiveness. the sword is double bladed, with a heftier weight that makes it more durable and powerful, but slower than is perhaps average for a blade in the Omniverse. The weapon is designed to batter away defenses rather than foil them. The hilt is approximately 8 inches in length, with a pair of curving horses making the cross guard. The blade widens from about 3 inches at cross guard down to an inch and a half and the tip of the blade. An Heirloom of the house of Eorl, Hasuhyrne is of excellent make and can withstand severe damage before shattering.
Great shield of Rohan (requires physical strength, 300 OM)
A sturdy wooden shield, about a meter in diameter with a metal band along the rim. The front is painted an emerald green with the white steed of the house of Eorl. The shield is study, and can withstand a solid beating, but it might very well splinter under enough stress, and though it has been sealed in an effort to prevent this, it isn’t impervious to fire, and will catch light if exposed to it for long.
