Word and character count came out slightly different when I double checked: 10405 and 57475. Not a terrifying discrepancy, but worth noting.

The thing that really kept this from Exemplary was how you formatted your dialogue. Whenever two characters are talking, its helpful if you break the paragraph when the speaker changes so that you don't end up with back-to-back quote-marked sentences spoken by different people. Not doing so makes it difficult for a reader to follow who's saying what, especially if the dialogue's content lacks immediate contextual clues.
