Ruined Business
#1
Somewhere in Tier Five, a black sedan hover car drove down the street at a fast speed. The speed he was going was twenty miles over the speed limit but who was driving the car was an orc wearing a purple leisure suit. He honked his horn at the traffic on the road and made illegally passing cars on the other side of the road. Sweat ran down his greasy forehead and a frantic look was upon his face. He grabbed a small rag out of his coat pocket to wipe his forehead and continued to focus getting to his destination not too late. The radio was tuned to a music channel he normally listened to but that wasn’t helping to calm him down.

He saw a traffic light around the corner that was green on his side and smashed the pedal down, making the car accelerate faster. The nose of the car lifted slightly from the horsepower and torque that kicked in. Closer and closer he got to the traffic light that was still green but suddenly, the light changed. It went to yellow to caution drivers about slowing down for a red light, but the orc didn’t give two shits about it. He had to give the news straight away as quickly as possible while he’s alive. Thoughts ran through his mind making him paranoid if the masked killer realized one orc witness escaped the club. He would look in the rear-view mirror with worried eyes if he caught someone following him.

The light turned red, but it was too late for him to stop so he ran the red light. For the people who had the right away, vehicles slammed on their breaks and some skirted following with an angry honk at the traffic violator. The orc didn’t care if he was driving like a maniac, he had no choice but get to his destination before it was too late for him. He arrived at the destination but didn’t pay attention to make a turn which the orc realized a split second late and slammed on his breaks then turning into a parking deck. The car drove up three floors to find a suitable parking space since the lower decks were filled. He parked the hover car and got out of the car quickly then locked it with his key remote without looking while fast walking to the closest elevator to him.

The orc made it to the elevator and frantically pressed the button several times to close the doors. After the doors closed, the elevator began to descend to the ground floor. There was no music playing in the elevator but dreadful silence filled it. The nervous orc tapped his foot impatiently for the elevator doors to open. A ding went off in the elevator for making to the ground floor and opened up the doors slowly but the orc wedged himself through the doors to get out quickly. He walked out of the parking deck and onto the sidewalk of the street. Some pedestrians passed him as he kept his fast pace to reach a lieutenant’s property of the Orc Mafia.

It took a couple minutes to walk down the street and make it to the address. The property was an old modern four-story city building which wasn’t highly advanced as the ones on the upper tiers. At the front entrance, two toughest orc mobsters stood guard outside and notice the leisure suit style orc walking up to the doors. They stop the guest at the entrance before he can access the building for security reasons. The nervous orc rolled up his right sleeve to reveal the tattoo on his risk that he was part of the mafia. They acknowledged the tattoo and let him enter the lieutenant’s base of operations.

He tried to keep his cool as he walked in at the front desk where another orc mobster wearing casual business attire, sat behind the desk with his feet propped on top of the workspace while reading a Playboy magazine. On the front cover was a secondary anime short purple-haired woman who was topless but was covering her bare double D chest with her arms in a seducing way. The leisure suit wearing orc came up to the mobster who was sitting behind the desk and noticed someone coming in but didn’t bother really paying attention.

“Yo, is Hulgom available at the moment?” the leisure suit wearing orc asked anxiously to the mobster sitting behind the desk.

“Who’s asking?” the mobster orc said flipping through the pages of the magazine rather than making eye contact.

“Tell him Ig is here and he would like to speak with him for just a minute.” Ig followed up with impatience growing inside him.

The mobster puts his feet down on the ground and closed the magazine then laid it down. He reached for the office phone on his desk and paged for Hulgom to pick up.

Meanwhile…

Upon the fourth floor in a nice-looking office, an orc that was slightly bigger than the rest in the building stomped around in his office muttering to himself and looked out the wide glass panel of his office that had the view of the street below. It was Hulgom who stood in the office and was thinking to himself about a situation he was in. A fraligator taxidermy rug laid in front of a black gloss luxurious desk that had a golden lamp on top, some paperwork, a desk answering machine and a heater pistol. There was a virtual style fireplace on the left wall with it set up in front of the exotic rug and two rich leather style chairs were set in front of the desk. The fireplace shown a burning fire that looked warm to sit in front of, but it was fake.  A rustic style wooden bar table with a cabinet was set beside the fireplace with liquor on top of it. On the left wall behind his workplace, was a big metallic freezer looking device that sat there and people who came in his workspace always wondered what that thing was containing. The right wall only had some filing cabinets that held documents. For lights in his office, they were sort of dim down then normal just for him to concentrate harder.

Hulgom is about seven feet tall and doesn’t have too much fat around his gut. His arms are muscular built from how long he has been a veteran of this family business. Tattoos cover both of his arms to tell the story of his life in crime. He wore jewelry involving three rings on his fingers with two on a hand and one on another, a thin golden chain hangs from his neck, and one of his tusks was replaced with a golden one. There was no hair on his head, but his genetics gave him long pointy ears with one of them pierced with a golden ring sticking out. His eyes were blue, and his skin was the normal shade of green like anyone would imagine how regular orc’s skin looked like. His clothing was a grey sports coat, red long sleeve dress shirt, black dress pants with a brown belt, shiny black business shoes, and black socks.

He decided to rest and sat in his brown executive leather chair, behind the desk. He looked at the bottled alcohol sitting atop the bar table but thought now was the time to stay sober and think clearer on what has been happening to his operations in Tiers four, five, and six. His hand rubbed his forehead due to him having a bad headache which made him grab a small container of pills out of his desk and he already had a glass of water sitting there. He popped the pill into his mouth and took a sip of water to wash it down. Ig finally came in into his office by opening the only door that you can get into Hulgom’s workplace. He grasped his hands together and had a serious expression on his face about Ig’s arrival.
