"Roland what the fuck!" Gary reached for his own sidearm, before Kurt's hand shot forward between his leader's fingers and the holster. The barrel on the cowboy's six-shooter eye-down the older trooper, eyes squinting. "Are ya feeling lucky, punk?" The fingers on his right hand twitched.
"Whoa whoa whoa hey!" Aadibah kicked off the sand, throwing her body between the trooper and the firearm. "Listen we just came here to talk! That's it! There's some kingdom agents here we're trying to deal with and they're bound to bring trouble your way!"
An eternity in a single moment went by, barrel of a gun bearing straight down on the woman's skull. Roland held an even glare with the Arab, eyes occasionally twitching over to the left or right.
"These kingdom agents. They that astronomer and his guards?"
"That's the one." Gary cut in, and the two locked eyes. Again, a short while passed while everything held still.
"Fine." Roland cocked the hammer forward.
