It was all very much like a dream, and for a while Stu believed it was. After falling asleep in his regular bed on a regular night after a regular day, he seemed to wake up in a completely empty void, as if he was nowhere. The only light in the whole expanse was from the figure whose bright white presence chilled Stu, and though he tried to speak, fell speechless.
The very next thing he knew, Stu was standing just by a fountain in another great expanse of nothing. Only this nothing, was full of something. Various creatures of various species wandered around this white place, walking on seemingly no surface. The ground was as solid as it could be, yet had no texture underfoot, and no visible difference between the empty space around him. Stu was in utter shock and great fear, beginning to aimlessly stagger round this place, still at a loss for words. Naturally with his education on Ardnaria, the Planet of Knowledge, Stu no longer feared, or even minded, most of the creatures that went about their various businesses, although this place seemed totally unknown to him.
Too frightened of his surroundings to ask anybody for help, Stu continued to meander through the white void, still in awe and confusion of exactly where he was, and occasionally rubbed his eyes to be sure that he wasn’t seeing things.
