Dane's knee crunched down onto Jzall's chest, cracking the already weakened ribs. Jzall grunted and spasmed before falling limp - his gun fell just an inch too far out of his grasp, yet the tips of his fingers still twitched. The fight was over, but he hadn't lost hope yet. Both were barely clinging to life; Dane's shaking hand was clear evidence of that. But, despite Jzalls resistance it still moved closer, drifting through the smokey air.
Face contorted in glee, Dane twisted his knee deeper and giggled at the grinding sound. "Open wide, child. Here comes the aeroplane."
China grated through 13's lips and teeth, dislodging, shattering, and tearing everything in its way. Fueled by adrenaline and madness, Dane leant forwards, pushing it down to the back of his throat.
"I wonder if you can actually taste this over your own blood?" Dane shrugged; the motion travelled to the china, pushing it just far enough back to pierce an artery. He didn't notice and continued his speech, croakily singing. "Eh, who cares. Blood tastes great anyway, y'know. At least, my own does. I do wonder about yours though."
Jzall's mouth had clamped shut; Dane ignored it and jerked the china out, pulling blood and teeth with it. Looking down with starry eyes, Dane trailed his tongue over the length of his arm, ending it with a sharp flick. Spittle and blood splashed onto Jzall's face, trickling down the side. "Hmm... I prefer my own. You've got a bit too much iron in there for my taste. Nice and tangy, but not brilliant."
Dane coughed, orange-red diluted blood dripped out the corners of his mouth. "Y-yeah. Like that..."
"Hey! Are you even listening to me?" His neck twisted rapidly, eyes reflecting the fire as he examined his victim. "Playing dead, eh? Well, I suppose you can't complain if I make your disguise more authentic."
Primes are so annoying sometimes. You never quite knew when they're dead. Turn your head for one moment, and suddenly they're up on their feet and stabbing you in the back.
Instinctively, he tried to reach for his sword with his right arm. Nothing happened. "Whoops, I forgot about that. Aww well, guess you're gonna get the special treatment then."
Dane slammed his fist down, using 13's chest like an elaborate pincushion. Except the pin was a razor-sharp shard of china, and 13's right lung was the cushion. "Alright kiddo, here we go..."
Forcing wave upon wave of mana down his arm, Dane clenched his bloody fist. From side to side it wobbled, muscles lax and bones trembling. Yet, powered by his weight and forceful shoulder, it drove down.
Boom-splat.
The explosive force hit Jzall on the side of his head, pushing it down and twisting his neck with a snap. With nowhere else to go, it was forced into a crater in the ground - his skull shattered from the impact, gore spraying outwards.
Dane didn't fare much better, the force spun him to the side and rocketed through his fist, leaving him splayed out to the side.
He needed sleep. Sleep sounded nice.
But he had work to do.
First off... how does this bounty thing work?
It's the dataverse stuff, right? On the messageboards. Do we just post a picture or something?
I dunno. Let's try that. I'm too lazy to check the help page.
Swiftly, he pulled out his phone and flicked to the camera app. He wanted a full body picture of both himself and his victim's corpse. For the memories, and as proof. But, unless he held it horizontally, he couldn't hit both of them in. And if he did that, then their chests and legs would be cut out.
If only there was some device that could hold a camera further from me, such that I could take this photo easier...
As it turned out, there was such a thing. He remembered almost fighting someone for one and building a small collection of them back at Dante's Abyss. Groaning, he curled his palm against his chest, focusing. The crackling of flames was still going strong by the time he finished, but most of the fighting ground was left charred with the inferno spreading elsewhere.
He glanced to the side at his selfie-buddy. "Smile for the camera, dude."
Swivelling the stick up into the air, he pushed his thumb down onto the button with a satisfying click. He winced internally as pain ran down his injured hand, but managed to suppress it enough for it not to show in the photo.
Carefully, he tried to pivot his back upright using his elbow but only succeeded in twisting himself to the side. The adrenaline had run its course. He wasn't going anywhere.
Guess I've gotta rest up after all.
He wondered if the monster was dead, but Clownpiece looked alright. He figured she could deal with it. Worst case scenario, he'd just die and come back later. But dying was lame.
Another cough ricocheted along his bones, driving blood up to his throat. He spat to the side, hacking up small red clumps. Disgusting. The liquid stuff tasted alright, but when it clumped together it made him want to puke - and he wasn't even sure if he could. Not without food in his body, anyway. But, Dane was in no mood to test it.
Diverting all his efforts through the pain, faint wisps of coloured light flowed out of his palm, slowly weaving across his injuries.
Let's see how this 'healing' thing works.

Quote:Dane's passing out to heal. What happens to China is on you Clown. 13 is dead.
