Getting Down to Business (Closed)
#8
As he trekked through the cave that he called his home,  well more of his lair actually, Matthew sighed. What he needed was something he didn't possess, an actual chance to succeed where he had so far managed to do just the one thing he had hoped he wouldn't, fail. His gear was not the problem, but his skills were the problem. With a bow and arrow in his hands, he was useless, and his shots with the Wrist Guns, or even the Energy Blast Attachment were likely to miss the area where he was aiming unless he got himself some serious training. In short, Matthew had to rebuild himself, and redesign his skills from the ground up so he could better protect the streets of this Tier from the many criminals that plagued the place. His walk through the cave continued, until he found a room he hadn't known existed, a room that had a katana on a casing of some sort. Picking up the blade. he'd examine it for several moments. If memory served, the blade was one from his home, one that he knew very well from the historical databanks he had read about it on. This sword had belonged to the hero "Katana" before she had retired or died, and was a very good blade. Probably it was just a reconstruction, but it was still a very useful piece of equipment for himself.

"A very interesting blade,"  said Matthew, as he swung the sword experimentally. While a katana was not his first choice, as he preferred non-lethal it was a valuable addition to his arsenal because he lacked the gear to deal with problems right now. A weapon was as good as the one who wielded it though, and right now he was not very good at policing the streets, at least not as he was now. If he was going to do any good out there, if he was to save his current home from the amount of crime that plagued it, he needed to change. What Matthew needed to do was to become something else, to become someone else. Yet by the same logic he couldn't go it alone down here, he needed a team to back him up. Secondaries were out of the question, as he was unwilling to put them at risk.
