Break in Ambrosia
#11
A final boss, she said. As if this were all some sort of game. X was a bit disgusted over the concept, but he had to consider that perhaps this was something Omni may have intended for his world. At any rate, she claimed she was not at her full power yet, and the Prinny added that they had yet to see real power as she had described.

But X had seen that kind of power. The power to create an entirely new universe, one that bent entirely to the creator's will. When Plant man had died, the Nebula Space had died with him, and nearly consumed Kelly and X in the process. If that sort of ability was something Nebula as a whole was capable of, then it might be beyond even the "real power" that Desco had mentioned. The moment that notion brewed up in X's processors, it immediately unnerved him, and he visibly shuddered over it.

"You alright, dood?" The Prinny asked, more out of courtesy than actual concern. "We'll be at the palace soon. It should fix you up in no time, dood." With a jerk of his faltering head, the android forced himself upright again and nodded.

The palace, of course, was quite sprawling. Supposedly, this was where the mayor of Ambrosia, Guu, made her residence. Apparently she must have been a princess in a past life, to settle for living in such splendor openly. The strange creatures prowling the grounds and managing the facilities served as a distinct reminder of Ambrosia's nature, however. After being directed inside by a pair of dogs in guardsman attire, the unlikely trio of Desco, Mega Man X, and the Prinny were led through the corridors.

Quite a crew to be alongside, for sure. When previously working with robots designed after anthropomorphic animals, however, one got a better sense of respect for the bizarre in your company. Perhaps that was primary reason of what kept X moving through Ambrosia without question.

Soon, the small group reached what could only be described as an indoor bath-house of sorts. A spread of towels were provided between a set of changing rooms, and past an adjacent doorway was an artificial vision of a hot spring, complete with a soft layer of mist and a stone-lined pool. It was the guardsman's stop here that off-put X slightly, and finally made him speak up in questioning of the scenario: "Excuse me- you're directing us to the medical bay, right?"

The dog guard perked up, looking up to the robot. "Yes, of course," he spoke matter-of-factually, motioning to the pool room, "This is the Fountain of Healing. The waters in this place are a miraculous solution that can ease any fatigue and mend any wound." After a moment of basking in that description, the animal leaned in and elaborated, in a hushed tone, "That's only because it just draws resources from the medical rooms in the back, over there." He pointed out the steely door on the far wall, past the pleasant haze. "We usually reserve that for the more grievous stuff, but you may wanna check it out anyway if you're not, y'know, waterproof."

X wrinkled his expression at the explanation, wondering how much the servants were paid to use such flowery descriptions. "I see, thank you," the android offered a half-leaning bow in response, allowing the guard to dismiss himself.
