Marisa is a human since I've heard that some people have thought she was a fairy.

History
Marisa Kirisame the ordinary magician wasn't always a magic user; she lived in the human village with her father. After a few years, she breaks ties with her father for reasons she and a few people won't share (those being kourin, Mima, her father, and herself). She headed outside of the village to learn magic taking the chance of being eaten by youkai only to be found by the vengeful spirit Mima. She got her Mini-hakkero (aka a magical furnace that is a trigram) from kourin as a gift.

Mima took her under her wing teaching her for a good few years before Marisa struck out on her own to become a fully competent magician. She during the time as an apprentice to Mima became really good friends with Reimu. Marisa has been to Makai on a trip with Mima. her first major incident resolution was the scarlet mist incident where a vampire covered gensokyo with a scarlet mist. Then incidents started to happen left and right from when it was a eternal night, to going to the moon.

Marisa is in her late 20's-30's and is just short.

                                                                                                              Appearance

Marisa wears black because she believes that is what magicians should wear and black is good at keeping stains from showing. Marisa is officially 130 cm with a seemingly endless number of changes to her outfit and hair since sometimes she could wear a star on her hat and other times it could be a different colored bow.

                                                                                                 Personality
Marisa is informal and condinsinding to but a few select people she respects greatly (that isn't to say she can't make friends its just she will usually put on a play as being someones friend). Mima being the most respected person she knows and the only one who has a title of honor from her. She has kleptomania and a severe case of lying (even though she is terrible at it and doesn't even try. She is also a burglar and magician by trade. She apparently has a fair hatred for the humans in the village (mostly her father but she does care somewhat for the villagers its just she hides it.)  and has a great enjoyment of the outdoors showing in her home of choice in a forest that few live in (besides the usual fairies and youkai).

Combat style

"Danmaku is all about firepower"

Marisa kirisame is all about big flashy battles and attacks. This shows up in her style of combat with her usually being a strong, fast-moving choice for players. She won't murder anyone should she win in most cases due to having no real situations really back home where she had to kill something. In any case, she will most likely anger or at least tick people off with her playful style of combat. In any case, she will zip around, use flight, etc all while attacking if possible (and if not she will use like master spark and spells like that to deal with people.)
