Sliding off one of his gloves in preparation for what he was about to do, Matthew knew the suit's glove needed testing. If it worked, he'd have found a valuable piece of home. Of course by the same virtue, if it didn't work, he'd need to find the one who was counterfeiting pieces of his home and talk, or rather smack some sense into the individual for doing so. There were many, many reasons that he needed the equipment operational. One of these was the crime rate of the Tier he lived on. It seemed every day he witnessed crimes, but the patrol by the local branch of the EPD was inefficient, to say the least. What he needed was a real game changer if he was going to be able to continue trying to be a hero. Sure, this wasn't it. It was however, a step in the right direction.
Upon testing it, and finding out that it fired a green beam, he looked at her.
"I'll take it. How much do you want for it?"
She looked at him for a moment, appraising the young would be-hero. "Consider it a gift. Just do your best down here, 'Kay?" Matthew nodded. That he planned on doing as soon as he was ready. Equipment like this was not that of a Green Lantern, but it was a start in the correct path towards recreating it. Maybe with enough time he could even create a way to provide himself the abilities of Superman, or Flash. Either one could come in handy here, for a lot of reasons.
