There were plenty of people shuffling around the cobbled streets- to call many of them "people" might be a misnomer to certain minds, but regardless of that, these were citizens of Ambrosia. Voices chatted, merchants blared out street-side wares, and shops used their unique shapes and colors to attract customers. The experience of walking through here seemed straight out a children's storybook, filled with some many fantastical things that one would struggle to comprehend it all.
This could only be strangeness of the Omniverse at work, drawing things from all worlds and realities. Yet, the way they all congregated here in a town like this suggested the entirety of it was only natural.
Mega Man X, for his part, didn't attempt anything that would garner attention. A few sets of eyes gave the shrouded machine passing glances, but didn't seem to think anything of him. Right now, the android wanted to focus on finding a place to settle down for awhile, give him the time necessary to mend himself and catch up on whatever events he had missed. Of primary importance was whether or not Nebula was completely suppressed yet; although X expected to hear something from Dr. Regal if this had occurred, his Dataverse connection wasn't currently on, so as to save power.
For a moment, the android stopped. From the intersection of the town square he currently stood in, the sight of a great mansion could be seen in the distance, a building larger than any other in the city. He looked around, used his point of vantage to try and find some other place of interested, but too much of the architecture was designed so oddly that he bore trouble determining what these places did.
X decided he was getting too weary to be sightseeing. Before he could attempt to move on, however, his sound sensors picked up a peculiar trace of conversation:
"Desco should find a way to help Ambrosia. This is Guu's place, Desco should treat it like it was hers. A good Final Boss has to be able to manage a huge Empire!"
Despite his better judgements, the Mega Man looked over at the source of the sentence, giving in to his suspicion. The speaker seemed to be beyond comprehension, however; what appeared to a little girl was walking along, dressed completely in purple scales and snake-like yellow eyes. At her back was some bizarre blob of flesh that could only be described as eldritch, and at her flanks were an accompaniment of several penguin-like dolls with wide beady eyes. Compared to everything else in Ambrosia so far, this group stood out the most to X, if nobody else.
So as the girl headed towards the great palace in the distance, the blue bomber began to start moving after her, appearing as just another traveler in the crowd.
No. Why was he doing this? Did he suspect something grim to happen from this creature? Even if he did, X was in no condition to fight if any sort of conflict happened to break out. Perhaps there was just something morbidly fascinating about the girl compared to everything else he had seen so far- but why would that be?
For a moment, X's cameras locked onto one of the eldritch backpack's eyes, and it stared back into him in turn. Oops.
