When Kuzuru made contact with the maw of the Dragon Darkloid, the explosion was immediate. He had soared through the air in a streak of purple lightning, sparking from his bloodied body as he flew straight across the battlefield. Everyone had paused for a moment as they watched, but they didn't have to wait for long. As the screaming swordsman connected with the winged terror, all of his emotion and pain burst out in one single defiant eruption. The violet flames that blasted from the dragon's mouth sent him sprawling backwards on its hind leg, towards the cliff he had been close to.
His claws held tightly to the natural stone underneath it, holding tightly until it came screeching to a halt just before the edge. For a moment, it looked like the Darkloid, who was too drunk on the power Nebula had given him to begin with, would save himself. But just as the smoke above him began to clear, the swordsman came down for one last strike with his blade, slicing straight through the thick scaly armor of the monster below him. The Dragonborn Spellcaster roared as the weapon cut through his throat and down towards his chest, and then sent him back once again. This time, his wings flapped once and both he and Kuzuru flew backwards into the sky.
The Darkloid's eyes looked down as Kuzuru's looked up. He was dangling from his sword, all of his darkchips active and working against each other in his body. They were both corrupted. Changed. But one was full of worry and regret for the decisions made, while the other was excited and fulfilled. Two different paths through Nebula's Darkness. Both led to this place, here in the air above this lone mountain in the Ashen Steppes Nebula Verse. Then, the explosion of dark energy from both Darkloids erupted in the sky, engulfing them both.
Down below, there was a pause in the action as both hostile combatants were eliminated in one burst. Summer (who was currently Sonny), Miranda and Syn Shenron were standing at the edge of the cliff the dragon was just on. Behind them, in the middle of what was their battlefield was Claptrap. He was surrounded by the bodies of the darkspawn they had slain. He had missed a good portion of what happened, and had both of his hands up in the air as if he had just struck a home run. Further behind him, on the other side of the peak, was Morene and Ebony. Ebony had stood up next to her kneeling friend, who was holding her torso where she was severely injured earlier in the fight.
"We have to get out of here," Sonny declared out loud. It was stern. He turned around to face the group. His eyes fell on Ebony and Morene, who he was relieved to see still alive.
"If you have any ideas, I'm listening," Miranda responded. She seemed grumpy. The fight did not do much for her mood.
The two of them looked at Syn Shenron, as if expecting the big man to contribute something to the conversation. Instead, he remained silent with his arms across his broad chest. He looked worse for wear from the fight, as he had taken a lot of damage for being the largest target, but he was hiding his pain well.
Just as it seemed like Sonny was going to respond, there was a loud booming noise in the distance. Followed by another, louder. Then another. "Uh, guys?" Claptrap's high, squeaky voice chimed in. "Is that orange glowing thing supposed to...glow orange, like that?"
Off in the distance was another mountain, though it had in the blink of an eye erupted what could only be described as deadly lava. Then, another one, closer to them blasted. There were little craters down on the surface of the verse then began to erupt. Soon, what was once a barren, dark wasteland lit up like it was covered in bug traps. They were covered on all sides by volcanic eruptions until, predictably, the mountain they had been fighting on this whole time began to shake.
The cliff that three of the group were standing up began to crumble under their weight. Sonny, Miranda and Syn all tensed as they felt the ground underneath them give way. "Summer!" Ebony screamed, but it was too late. The trio disappeared from sight.
Claptrap spun around to face Ebony and Morene. Then back to where the other three were standing. He did this 360 spin about three times before he stopped at 90 degrees at one point and realized there was a large flow of lava that had been blasted from the nearest crater onto the peak. "Look out!" One of the females had shouted, presumably Morene. His wheels sent him towards the voice even as his body and eyes faced on the lava. He barely avoided it.
"Time to go!" He declared as he rolled up to the two. He gaze focused on Morene. "You gotta get up!"
"I can't," Morene told him, but she was already making an attempt to. She knew that regardless of how hurt she was, she was going to have to make an effort just so Ebony could as well, otherwise the girl might stay.
"You look fine to me! Let's go!" Claptrap declared and moved to pull her by one arm. He looked over at the young girl. "You gotta help!"
Ebonywood Hellscythe was momentarily distracted. While being led astray by shiny objects was not something new to her, this time it was different. It felt like this small little dataverse chip resting there on the ground was calling to her. She quickly snagged it and pocketed it. "Ebony, we have to go," Morene said, sternly but sweetly.
"I'm ready," Ebony nodded to her and she moved to help Morene down the path of the mountain.

Quote:Renji has died, but is free from the corruption of the darkchips. Nebula has gained power from him. Use this page for information on what happens after death.
The Dragonborn Spellcaster is dead.
Claptrap takes 5 points of damage. He's in bad shape.
Syn Shenron takes 10 points of damage. He's in bad shape.
Sonny takes 8 points of damage. He's in bad shape.
Miranda takes 3 points of damage. She's ok.
Ebony is ok.
Morene is dying. She will die at the end of this round without healing.
Ebony gains DARKCHIP: DARK RECOVERY. She does not know what it does, only the title of it (which is written on it).
The Nebula Verse is collapsing on itself, destroying itself from within. Craters and volcanos all around are erupting lava and the mountains are breaking apart. The party is now split, on paths on separate sides. You'll need to get down to the base to find a portal outta there. Sonny, Miranda and Syn are on one side, after falling a bit, and Ebony, Morene and Claptrap are on the other.
You have until Monday night 11:59 EST to get one roleplay, no word limit. As usual, if you need an extension then feel free to let me know.
