What species are your characters?
Dane and Ebony are both human.
What do they believe in?
Dane: Philosophically, not a lot besides general logic and mathematics. Otherwise, consistency, stoicism and intelligence are key traits he likes.
Ebony: Again, no dirties or philosophical ideologies - she hasn't though much about that. Besides that, she strongly values compassion, friendship, and coolness.
What are their main goals?
Dane: Not a lot at the moment. He's just trying to get stronger to put himself on everyone else's level of strength.
Ebony: Make friends, go home, and save her old friends back home.
How large is their knowledge of magical creatures?
Dane's world was lacking in the exotic creatures department. So most would fall under mythology which he doesn't care for much. He'd probably recognise vague concepts, but that's it. That said, he knows a lot about magic.
Ebony likes mythology because some of the creatures look cool. Besides that, she's never seen any of those creatures mentioned and in her world they weren't real.
Would they take a chance to become a youkai or gain eternal life?
In his homeworld, Dane would have. He didn't really fear death, but he likes living. Now though, he considers himself to already be immortal in the OV since he'll just respawn if he dies. So, unless it gave strong powers with few drawbacks as well, he wouldn't bother. And even then, he'd work to replicate it himself. Dane seeks to understand prior to use.
Ebony could be tricked into doing it, I guess. If a friend asked her to do something (and both Summer and Sonny are Youkais). But she doesn't fear growing old - that's not something she's considered. She's unlikely to straight up accept something that could largely change herself.
