[The Vision]

The Vision glanced at the soaring aircraft overhead. As the pilot in the red disc came in for one more strafe, a handful of pirates started scrambling away from where the aircraft seemed to go.

The android launched into the air and fired two nets of web at the escaping pirates, then seared a line of heat into the ground to deter the rest. The pilot razed the line of pirates that the Vision had trapped. The android nodded approvingly and floated towards the other android.
 
"Query," the Vision asked, "What is your name?"
 
"Proto Man," the red robot replied, "And you're Vision, I know."
 
"Affirmative."
 
The Vision glanced at the portal. Most of the pirates were dead.
 
"Alert!" he said, volume increased largely to announce to all of his allies, "Hostiles largely defeated. Proceed to the portal before reinforcements-"
 
THUM
 
The Vision sighed incredibly loudly, having forgotten to lower his volume.

The android looked up. There were two seven-foot-tall humanoids each carrying a cannon and a sword. They snarled and roared at the Liberators.
 
"YOOOUUU KIIIILLED BIIIIG BROOOTHERRRRRR"
 
The giant on the left swung his sword down.

The sword passed harmlessly through the Vision's body and landed in the ground, triggering a small explosion of sand and moss. The Vision flew up straight to the giant's face.

The Vision's fist hardened and super-densified. He felt his body start to sink under the new weight. The Vision promptly threw the punch, landing a solid blow on the left giant's cheekbone. The giant flinched, but the Vision couldn't even turn the hostile's head.
 
The other titan gripped his cannon with hairy fingers, firing a cluster of hot metal at the floating android.

It was too late. The projectiles couldn't harm the Vision's body, but it washed over his hand, singing it and snapping off his ring finger. The Vision scowled as he examined his hand.

The Vision sunk down, avoiding another hot cluster, as he felt Mjolnir form in his hand. It was hard to grip it without one of his fingers, but nonetheless he knew he could swing it. Using the weight of Mjolnir to generate momentum, the Vision shot forward like a supercomputer cannonball, landing the hammer straight in the chest of the cannon-firing giant.

The Vision shot upwards, swinging it once more like an uppercut under the giant's chin. Just in time. The four projectiles he detected was a barrage of energy bullets from Proto Man's blaster. They all hit their target, striking the giant hard. The Vision spun in mid-air, slamming the legendary hammer one last time on the giant's lip. The electricity coursed through its skin, clambering across the giant's saliva in branches of static energy.
 
But the huge man was still awake, if in great pain.
 
"IIII KIIIIL YOOOOU"
 
The Vision shrugged. "You cannot kill what you cannot touch."
 
As the giant tried to reach for the android, the red aircraft flew by, firing a barrage of lasers. The two Primes perched on the exterior jumped off and slashed at the giant's throat. The giant roared one last time as it fell to the ground, dead.
 
"Addendum," the amused Vision noted, "You also cannot kill if you are dead."
