Perkins was at a pub on tier 4, he had not taken 13 leaving suddenly as well as most people and spent his time drowning the sorrows of rejection. 13 found Perkins with a half-finished beer, Perkins looked up and despite his face being covered in filth, 13 could see that he was happy to finally see 13 again. After Perkins cleaned up and got back his equipment, 13 and Perkins left the building just in time to see a blue daemon and an… ultramarine? Run into an area and then immediately disappear. Which would have made sense previously but he had found out from the resistance leader that there are no actual chapters and the paint on the marine’s armour was just to determine their role and rank. But honestly, 13 didn’t think much of it since nothing here made sense anyway.
They made their way to an elevator with the cameras disabled just like they were ordered to. 13 felt that small swell of pride again before switching off his emotions as they entered the factory. 13 recognised most of the things here, ancient machine constantly churning out new weapons, armour and occasionally new servitors. Mindless servitors wandered around the factory, checking that the assorted machines were working at maximum efficiency and moving around the sprawling corridors to guard against intruders. 13 told Perkins that he needed to play along with what he said; “Okay, just don’t make it too weird or anything.” 13 took off his robe and put it into one of the machines, making sure that there was no evidence of him being more than a basic servitor. 13 walked up with Perkins and began to talk to the servitor in the Cant Mechanicus Lingua-technis; “Greetings, I am designation 13-GOMNID, I am taking this traitor conscript to be converted into a servitor, direct us to the closest information uploader.”
“Right, left, skip a left then left.”
“Omnissiah be with you.”
13 walked away with Perkins into the centre of the factory where there was a glowing bright blue terminal, surrounded by countless servers and cords snaking in and out of the walls. 13 spent a few minutes summoning his robes back and a data transfer cord out of omillium, he dressed up in his robe and plugged in the cord. 13 then put the other end of the cord into the socket in his temple and started the data upload. Immediately the liquid bliss of information swirled into his robotic brain and he began to do the prime directive of the Omnissiah, gain data in his name.
13 understood why the leader needed the Cawl pattern bolt rifles so much now, it and the normal mars pattern bolter had similarities but inside the weapon it was a different story. The cawl pattern bolt rifle had more powerful bullets and the chamber of the cawl pattern bolt rifle was extended so that it had 21 more feet of range than a normal bolter. 13 glanced at Perkins who was guarding the door with his gun, detached the cord and stuck in an USB. After a few minutes, 13 took it out and gave it to Perkins. “This has all the data on the cawl pattern bolt rifles, they’re a lot worse than our normal bolters so you’ll need every advantage you can get.”
“Thanks but I think that I will still be sticking around with you.”
“Since we’re here and we still need to get that gene seed-“
“What?”
“The thing that the empire uses to make new space marines out of normal citizens.”
“Oh.”
“Anyway, since we’re still going to need to be here for a while do you want to get a better weapon than your lasgun?”
“No, I’m happy with it and frankly I don’t really trust myself with anything better.” 13 still picked out a plasma pistol and gave it to him and Perkins accepted it. 13 then moved over to the vault which he expected to be much more of a problem.

Quote:Going to maybe finish this up when I'm away and then finish this story. My post in the going away thread takes effect tomorrow so I decided that I may as well post before then. :/
The soul of the Machine God surrounds thee. The power of the Machine God invests thee. The hate of the Machine God drives thee. The machine god endows thee with life. Live!
