I got my hands on a copy of CoC 7th Edition. (Geeze. Seven..)
Anyways, in the first chapter it suggested I read like 13 Novelettes by Lovecraft. It reccomends at least half of these to get in the right state of mind to tell a good thematically correct story. So..
Novelette's - 7,000-17,000 words.
Luckily Tearan linked me to a place where I can find some of his works online, maybe it will have 6-7 of theses!

Also, I am thinking Roll20 being the place to do this game. It has a character sheet for CoC - Thanks Cell for showing me that - and we can ensure no tomfoolery with rolls. Because you'll be rolling right on the screen. (Not that I have any reason to believe anyone will cheat.) This shouldn't be a problem for anyone, but let me know if that's false.
