Quote:Putting a mature content warning at the top here as Yuuka commits at least one actual crime against humanity in this post.
Once again, her arms had been pelted with shards of ice as she tried to cover her face.
Were she a weaker willed woman, Yuuka would have long since given up on the winter. A cough from deep within her lungs rose up as the air around her in the building chilled. Seeing the fairy encased in ice, she instead turned to the other man in the room, the doctor from before- who had been made into a porcupine by arrows. Ah.
Out of curiosity more than sympathy, she took a couple steps over to him, pressing her hand to his chest. Though faint, there was still something pulsing back there. Carefully, she pulled out the arrows, one by one, focusing as she did. The wounds didn't close instantly or anything, but she was fairly certain that it was working. Slowly. Though she was losing patience with it rapidly.
When the fairy burst from her icy shell, Yuuka took it as her moment to stop. For the moment she had a grim, uncaring expression on her face- though her eyebrows were raised in curiosity. So. She was like that, huh? Yuuka didn't seem too impressed, though perhaps it was simpy the situation unfolding around her that made her like that. She looked on wordlessly as the former fairy flew out.
Ah, vengeance and alcohol. Those age old levelers of the playing field.
As she walked through the streets, the unconscious man over her shoulder, the village was in a panic. Some brave souls were chasing the attacker into the woods. Some were mourning the dead and dying in the streets. She ignored all that. It didn't matter. Instead, she had taken a mind to dragging the poor doctor all the way up to Reimu's shrine.
Which she did. Slowly. Her focus on him had brought his breathing mostly back by the time she got there. However, she simply dumped him in the sitting room in front of a still very hammered Clownpiece, her attention span used up. "I'll be back in a little bit," she assured, "don't break him while I'm gone."
She had better make sure Cirno hadn't done anything stupid as revenge in the half hour this had taken.
-
Though, it had been almost two hours since she had left. And Reimu was beginning to become increasingly upset with the dying man that had been dumped on her, whom she had found once she returned. She wasn't any sort of doctor herself, so she could only watch in mild displeasure as he coughed up blood on her perfectly good floor. She'd need to wash that soon.
"Okay, which way did she go?" She directed this at Clownpiece, hands on her hips. The hell fairy made a vague gesture as to the direction, only for Reimu to storm off in flight immediately. She was losing her patience, too.
-
By the time Reimu found her, Yuuka had long since ditched her fancy attire. Thankfully she hadn't changed out of the shorts and shirt she had on prior, so she was at least clothed. She was also covered in blood. Though, looking down, Reimu quickly realized it was definitely not her own. No, the Youkai was instead standing over the body of a young man with two arrows in his chest- and one arm pulled off. An arm that seemed quite... conveniently missing, when one accounted for the partially eaten one that was in Yuuka's hands.
"...Is that from a person?"
Shoveling what was left of the limb into her mouth like she had just been caught eating the last of a bag of chips, she managed a mostly unintelligible, "It used to be."
The shrine maiden looked more than mildly horrified at the casuality behind Yuuka's words. And the fact she was speaking with her mouth full of half chewed human flesh- actually, maybe moreso the latter. However, the youkai merely laughed- not cruelly. Not evilly. Just as jovially as she would at anything else. It was as if she saw nothing at all wrong with what she was doing.
Yuuka had at least bothered to swallow before speaking up again. Her words were still a bit slurred, though clearly from the alcohol this time. Great, she hadn't even sobered up in the time since. "I can't just drink on an empty stomach- and he was dead when I found him. There's no sense in being wasteful."
"Augh-"
"You act like you haven't seen a Youkai eat someone before."
Though Reimu certainly had, it was not any more pleasant the second or the hundredth time. Putting on her most stern face and letting out a displeased sigh, she locked eyes with Yuuka. "You'd better not do that. Ever again. Especially not anywhere near my shrine. Or I swear, you are going back in that jar. And I'll buy a safe this time."
"Hmph. I'll make myself a public menace wherever I please, and you can't stop me. ...But for now, I relent." She wiped her blood-covered hands on her bare legs, which was not much of an improvement. "What do you want?
Begrudgingly, Reimu elaborated. "You've dumped a dying man on my doorstep, the fairies are semi-conscious, and you're nowhere to be found. Clearly you're the one that needs adult supervision." Reimu started walking a few steps before turning on her heel, grabbing Yuuka by the wrist- hard. She couldn't trust the Youkai to actually follow her if she didn't. "I can't believe the village is in a crisis and the first thing on your mind is that you can get away with eating people."
"Actually, it was more like the fourth or fifth thing on my mind."
"It should be the last!
Though she was dragging her feet with a pout, Yuuka was at least cooperating without too much complaint- and thankfully, no violence. Reimu hadn't known Yuuka to be a particularly belligerent drunk (with one notable exception), more an unreasonable one. Once she got something into her head, it was very hard to stop her from acting on it. Which... it was beginning to become clear why that was a very bad thing.
"...Six months..." Her grumbling was quiet, at least, as Reimu basically dragged the fully grown woman through the greenery like a child. She meant "six months since my last nonsense," Reimu decided.
She made a mental note to keep track of those numbers.

By the time Cirno made it to the shrine, Yuuka was mostly unconscious with her head down on the table. Clownpiece was in a similar state, though she had instead been leaned against a wall. Reimu looked thoroughly disgusted with the fact she had been made to clean up human blood all night. (Who did she look like, Sakuya?) In layman's terms, for the most part things sucked there, too.
Seeing the fairy's new form, Reimu mouthed a silent "what the fuck?" at Yuuka, who just shrugged. She was too tired to deal with explaining.
Cirno speaking up didn't seem to boost the morale any. "...Plan..." The Youkai looked a bit confused by this word. Not that she didn't understand it, but simply because she didn't have one. Yuuka and planning went together like oil and water. "I guess we could start by following the bodies. There are a lot of them." There sure were, Yuuka. "Though I think I'd prefer to do it in the morning..." She yawned, clearly intentionally to show she was tired. Then again, Cirno probably didn't care anyway.
