The night blurs.
***
Heidi meets a wood elf who tells her all about the elven city of Yggrasdil, and buys her several drinks, but loses her interest after he is rude to a blue-haired waitress.
***
The girls crash the vip table of a flying-carpet salesmen from Ambrosia and his hanger ons. The carpet salesman happens to be a genie who is quite taken with the girls. They spend some time sipping strong rice wine and smoking genie-grade hashish, watching the rainbow pixies fluttering around the vip section and listening to the genie tell of his adventures. At one point, at the end of a drunken ramble, the genie tells Belle to make a wish. Belle whispers in his ear, but Heidi never notices anyways, as she is arguing with a pixie; they are both wrong.
***
Outside the club, Heidi and Belle learn dance moves from a pair of orange twi’leks. Later, they use their newfound skills to win a twerking contest to raucous applause. It wasn’t intended as a couples contest.
***
Belle drunkenly arranges her hair in the bathroom mirror while Heidi giggles in the stall. She reads loud in her squeaky voice a poem written on the stall.
There was a big ugly man from Ambrosia.
Who was arrested for indecent exposure.
He told Princess Guu
And behold it was true
Twas his greatclub, and he was an ogre.
The girls snort with laughter.
***
Heidi eyes a line of white powder being offered to her by an anime bunny girl.
“It’s pixie dust and starlight,” assure the cat girl. Heidi hesitates, then snorts the line off a small mirror.
“Wow,” squeaks Heidi. “That’s a lot like cocaine.”
***
The girls are dancing with a pair of handsome young knights from Camelot beneath cascading lotus petals. The petals vibrate along with the bass drums. During a particularly loud song Belle catches sight of Heidi’s face and sees a politely irritated expression. She watches as Heidi tries to create distance, but the knight closes the gap quickly and, Belle thinks, aggressively.
Heidi does not hear exactly what her red-headed screams in the knight’s face, but she gets the jist of it when Belle throw her oversweet drink in the knight’s face.
***
Belle is playing a game at the bar. She is stabbing the points between her fingers with a butterfly at an impossible pace, going faster than any competitor who steps up to her.
Heidi is listening raptly to an Ewok gangster from Coruscant. Her eyes are wide and glowing pink.
Belle cheers as her opponent bleeds, having stabbed himself in the hand deeply. Belle grins as she collects her winnings, a small pile of cash and the losers butterfly knife.
***
The girls are holding each other up on the dance floor, their breath mingling with the sickly sweet aroma of honeydew vodka, their bodies seeming to melt together.
