The pair wandered through the dark corridors for a while, Claptrap oblivious to whatever it was Miranda was doing. He would have loved to hum a tune to himself to pass the time, but even he could tell this wasn't the time. There would be plenty of time for music when they got out of here.
After a while of walking through the gloom, Claptrap noticed something when the pair stopped for a moment. As he stood idly, waiting for Miranda to do her work, he started to roll backwards slightly. The robot engaged his brakes and inspected the floor. It wasn't steep, and it wasn't easy to pick tell, but there was an incline in the floor.
"Hey, Lady." Claptrap 'whispered', "The floor isn't even here." Morene raised an eyebrow at the robots comment.
"Very perceptive of you, but what does it matter if a cave floor isn't level?"
Claptrap shook his head, or tried to at least, vigorously. "No, I mean we're going up."
"Going up?" Morene knelt down to get a better look at the floor, then walked from one end of the corridor to the other. She let out a "hmm" before turning to the robot. "Looks like someone wants us to go up... Wherever that is."
The pair continued on their way, before Claptrap decided to break the silence. "So, why'd you decide to help out those turtle guys?" Morene gave him a slightly tired look before turning back towards where they were walking.
"Well, I am no ally of Nebula. I won't just let him take whichever verses he pleases. A better question is why did you help the darklings? Surely you knew you would be betrayed."
Claptrap thought for a moment. "Well, it's two rakks with one sniper round. Get the turtles out then send the darklings packing with them. This was, uh, not part of the plan." Morene looked at Claptrap slightly incredulously. How did he expect to take on the Koopas and Nebula one after the other?
The floor slowly but surely got steeper as the pair continued down the path. Finally, they came to a small ledge. It wasn't very high, only about a meter and a half tall, but it marked the beginning of gradually rougher terrain. Morene huffed as she tried to pull herself up, but the pain in her shoulder made it a burden.
"Here!" Claptrap chirped as he rolled up beside her and retracted his wheel. "Use me to boost yourself up." Morene hesitated for a moment, before thanking Claptrap and shakily climbing onto his head. With the extra height, she was able to pull herself up and turned to see Claptrap unsuccessfully reaching for a handhold.
"Come on." Morene said as she reached down a lifted the small robot up with her good arm. Claptrap twirled a rounded excitedly and raised his hand at their minor triumph. "Put her there." Claptrap said, holding out for a high five. Morene looked at his hand for a moment before turning and starting walking again. "You might get one if we make it out of here in one piece."
Claptrap lowered his arm dejectedly as he watched her walk. He had no idea if he was making progress with his ice-breaking or not. Lost in thought, Claptrap was roused by a call from Morene. She was waiting at the end of the hall, barely illuminated by Claptrap's eye. "Come on, quickly." She half whispered. "Wah, wait for me!" Claptrap 'whispered' back as he raced down the hall.

Quote:600 words..
I didn't mention it every time, but they are pretty much whispering the whole time so they don't draw any darklings.
