"We were playing in traffic."

"I'm sure you were. Been up to no good again?"

"You could say that. But we're finished."

The shrine maiden sighed, rolling her eyes at the Youkai as she invited herself into the shrine. Not that Reimu was all too surprised- Yuuka had made herself a nuisance in the past many a time. At least Yuuka had the decency to change while Clownpiece was summoning the shrine, as she was now sporting a pair of plaid shorts with a simpler white short sleeved shirt. She had also cut off the burnt tips of her hair- leaving it closer to shoulder length than before, albeit still messy. The Youkai found herself sitting cross-legged in the living room of the shrine, much to Reimu's ire as she pondered the best method for getting blood stains off of her flooring.

-

For the most part the three plus an unconscious one of them sat around talking about... not much. Though Yuuka had made a valiant attempt to explain the whole "new plane of existence" thing to Reimu, she didn't know much about the place herself. Clownpiece knew a little more, but definitely nowhere near everything. And it hadn't gone terribly well either way. Reimu wasn't terribly excited by the news, and though she wasn't making it too obvious, she was definitely a bit worried about the situation.

Yuuka had attempted for a moment to distract her by talking about their fight with the Shadow Dragon prior, but really this hadn't been to much effect. Reimu just told them not to do that with too many innocent bystanders around in the future and maybe not almost kill each other next time if she was going to be the one responsible for the fallout. But if not, go knock yourselves out with that dumb immortality of yours. See if she cares. Just don't drag her into it.

Cirno's brief stop by had been nice as a distraction, but hadn't done much to help out Reimu's mood. The Shrine Maiden had simply taken the time to make a face at the fairy while still holding onto her cup of tea; a pot of which Yuuka had summoned in order to demonstrate how that worked. Though she hadn't even bothered to stand up to chase the fairy off, as she wasn't hurting anything... yet. "Do I just attract weirdness by nature? Reimu pondered aloud, kicking her feet a little.

"I've wondered the same thing." Yuuka replied, swirling her own cup of tea in her right hand as she sat on the veranda next to Reimu. It certainly seemed like Reimu was always in the middle of something strange happening. But she supposed that was just what it was like being the Hakurei Shrine Maiden. "I guess you can take the shrine maiden out of Gensokyo, but you can't take Gensokyo out of the shrine maiden." Though she was clearly spacing out a bit and not paying much attention to anything, the youkai was still smiling idly.

Time passed, Cirno left, but eventually her friend arrived in her place. By then they had for the most part all gone inside to avoid the evening mosquitoes. Thankfully, Daiyousei knew more about the Omniverse than Yuuka or Clownpiece did, and gave it her all in trying to explain it to all three of them. At some point the conversation turned to Dante's Abyss, which was interesting enough- but it had clearly passed for now. When questioned about joining next time, Yuuka had merely shrugged with a noncommital "I'll think about it." If it was nearly a year out, she wasn't going to make any promises.

Eventually, she produced the sheet about the flower viewing she had placed in the pocket of her shorts earlier. "Reimu, maybe you could try selling sake at this or something." Yuuka suggested, gently sliding the sheet over to the shrine maiden. Reimu glanced at it, reading over the information. "It may not be as popular as it is in Gensokyo, but it's worth a try. Not everyone's willing to spend 5 minutes summoning something that small." Of course, it wasn't a shrine maiden's usual work, but it might encourage donations if the town nearby actually knew of her existence.

Though Yuuka was at such flower-viewings often, the humans at them usually avoided her, unless it was at the shrine. Perhaps because Reimu was there to discipline her? Then again, only weird humans went to the Hakurei Shrine's flower viewings anyway- and more often to drink than anything else. Not to mention "flower viewing" for Yuuka was just code for "do the same thing I do every day but there are dozens more people there to annoy me." But... at least it was nice she got some appreciation, even if it was once a year.

By now, the sun was dragging itself further and further below the horizon. Reflexively, the Youkai let out a yawn. "It's getting late, isn't it? I should get some sleep." Yuuka rubbed her eyes as she spoke. Though rather than do the logical thing and leave, she instead picked herself up and wandered deeper into the shrine.

But as she rounded the corner into the hallway, she finally recieved a cry of, "Hey! This is a shrine, not a hotel!"

"So? You owe me a night of sleep from exactly eighteen years and three hundred and sixty three days ago. That's almost nineteen! Be glad I'm not collecting interest." Yuuka pouted at the shrine maiden, momentarily sticking out her tongue at her before walking off wordlessly. Real mature.

"You were- Ugh! Get back here!" Reimu was forced to get to her feet to engage in an extremely low speed chase with the Youkai. "It doesn't count if you were causing an incident!"

"I was causing it? I was asleep. It was my friends that were bored." Yanking the doors to the sleeping quarters open roughly (though not quite roughly enough to cause damage), Yuuka surveyed the contents. There really... Wasn't much there. Just a futon on the floor. Damn her for getting used to western luxuries like mattresses on frames and nightstands. She made a mental note- summon a better place to stay tomorrow. "...Well, I suppose I'll live." She was already halfway in by the time Reimu got a word in edge-wise.

"Oh no. You are not doing that. That's where I sleep. You can have the floor."

A bright, overly cheerful smile spread across Yuuka's face. "You're small. I'm sure there's enough space for both of us in here."

The distinct sound of a youkai being repeatedly hit over the head with a gohei echoed through the night.
