It all looks fine to me to be honest. Physical extension that can grab and strike at range, yadda yadda - given its downsides, I think it should be fairly free, but I think it should have some energy drain and focus required, at least, especially if rapidly summoning and desummoning. Some quick note on how quick it can be done is fine, whether that's nearly-instantaneous or about a second.
I think the first was best, this version's actually more unbalanced since it's just as strong as it was before, but now without the huge downsides, lol.
The only caveats to mention would be that, yeah it needs a range and to say that it weakens with distance, just like telekinesis - that was mentioned in the second version briefly - and that it shouldn't be immune to certain damage types, though obviously since it's a summoned construct you could, if you wanted, desummon and resummon it to remove any debuffs it gets (I'm guessing he can do that to get it out of grabs or anything).
But yeah, controlling the world should be a bit more fatiguing than Dio just moving himself, since it can do fancy stuff that he can't - and if he's moving and fighting at the same time as the stand, it should be hella difficult and really fatiguing (like you can imagine, trying to fight with two bodies at once - in a fight, this should have severe repercussions on Dio if he spends the first half of the fight doing this, like he's left too tired to summon the stand for the second half).
I'd price it at 600, same as you did. For general functionality (grabbing, moving around, etc) and striking.
Well, Daniel said that the first version's downside of DIO possibly dying from The World being destroyed was too severe, and the split-focus thing wouldn't be allowed, so I wrote the second version to act as more of a lite generic summon. I don't know if I made it clear in the second version that DIO isn't using as much focus to direct The World, but I agree with you that I think the first version is at least more interesting and reflects the actual mechanics of Stands better.
Though, I do blame myself for making it seem like DIO and his Stand are constantly doing combo attacks and such without it having any drain on DIO's focus or energy-- in the actual source material, most of it is just DIO leaning back and letting his Stand do most of the fighting, lol.
Here is yet ANOTHER write-up of the move. Consider it a merging of both versions ideas, as well as putting in some of your suggestions.
The World (requires Ranged Proficiency, Ranged Materialize Proficiency, Remote-Control Proficiency, and Telekinesis) - 600
DIO has the ability to summon his Stand, The World, to assist him in battle. The World manifests itself as a muscular, humanoid figure that stands at about 7 feet tall and possesses a physical frame similar to DIO.
- Range: The maximum range at which The World can be materialized scales with DIO's Telekinesis power. Much like Telekinesis, The World's physical capabilities with diminish the further away it is used from DIO. The time it takes to manifest the world is also affected by range; manifesting The World over at least half of DIO's maximum Telekinesis range requires an additional two seconds. (To a maximum of 3 and a half seconds). Dispelling The World, however, is not affected.
- Use/Focus: The World acts as a physical extension of DIO's own physical capabilities. It's a puppet of DIO's will that maintains basic physical functionalities (grabbing, moving around the battlefield, striking). The World is an extension of DIO, however, and cannot perform actions on it's own thought. Directing The World requires a conscious mental effort by DIO-- or, "mental bandwidth". Provided DIO is standing still and putting all of his focus into directing The World, he can keep the Stand active on the battlefield indefinitely. However, using The World drains DIO's energy. Keeping the Stand on the battlefield for longer than a minute will result in DIO's fatigue affecting The World's physical capabilities.
- Manifesting/De-Manifesting: The World can be near-instantaneously (a little under a half-second) summoned within 5 feet of DIO. At ranges beyond 5 ft, this extends to 1 second of focus. Manifesting The World over at least half of DIO's maximum Telekinesis range requires an additional two seconds. (To a maximum of 3 and a half seconds). De-Manifesting The World takes a full second, regardless of where The World is in reference to DIO. De-Manifesting The World will remove any debuffs the Stand itself has.
- Weaknesses: Physical damage is mirrored between The World and DIO, which includes sustained damage and injuries. The only exception to this rule is certain debuffs. DIO himself will not catch on fire if The World is set on fire, and The World will not be frozen if DIO is frozen-- but physical damage as the result of these debuffs will be mirrored (ex. burns). The World's durability is equal to DIO's, much like it's ATK is (this, again, is diminished based on range). If The World is hit with an attack that would be enough to incapacitate or kill DIO, then a Stand Crash will occur-- DIO will be effectively stunned for 10 seconds, and will not be able to manifest or use The World for another 5 seconds.
