"We go to Silent Hill."
The Spartan wasn't sure if he was supposed to gasp at this knowledge or be in reverence. Atelos had no idea what this place was or why it was so mysterious. He assumed he would find out on this journey with the Paladin.
"Very Well. When do we depart?" The Spartan said monotonously, he was not happy to serve underneath someone of this Caliber, but he knew it was for the best. This plain tone was the best he could do to refrain himself from being disrespectful.
"We depart on the morrow. Be at the Gates at sun break, the retinue shall depart then. Be prepared." The Paladin took another brief look at the map and the frown on his face grew more sour. "Glad to have you two Gentlemen on board. I hope that you are as fierce on the battlefield as you are in the stories." He gave the two a quick smile and signaled to them the door. It was clear on his face that he wanted to be alone for a bit. The two warriors understood and soon exited.
On his way to the door Shang couldn't help but add something, "Thank you for allowing us to help serve your quest for the salvation of Darkshire." With that the two shut the door and left the Paladin to his own devices.
"Well Shang, were in. I hope this is going according to your plan. Atelos had a questioning look in his face, making sure that the Sorcerer knew what he was doing.
"Trust me Spartan it is."
The pair left for their garrison to prepare for their quest the next day. The morning came quickly, considering how early they were required to get up. Atelos was used to the strenuous conditions and he assumed Shang would be the more "pampered" type. He got up with a sigh and rubbed his eyes and went over to Shang's bed, to a surprise of no one being there.
"Come on Spartan, you need to get up earlier." Shang stood behind Atelos with a wide grin, fully aware of the Spartan's intentions. Atelos turned around, and laughed with the Sorcerer. The two then exited the garrison and worked their way to the Gates, with the brim of the sun peaking out and beginning to lift the veil of darkness that covered them
They saw a group of people walking their way, to realize that leader was none other than Argento leading his retinue of well-trained warriors. Their faces grim, as many Spartan's faces are before they die. This struck a chord in Atelos' heart, not fear but just reminiscence.
Argento led the way and greeted Atelos and Shang, "Greetings you two. Are you prepared for this conquest, it shall not be an easy one? Atelos and Shang looked at each other both receiving a firm nod.
"We didn't expect it to be."
