The King had reached the end of his path and took note of the giant portal that bestowed before him. The giant gate had a blue film which seemed capable of falling out and flooding the Nexus with its blue surface. Gilgamesh reached his hand out to touch the blue-liquid and he was instantly transported to a place devoid of the watery substance that was just in reach. The white land instantly faded into the still bright sands of the desert decorated occasionally by the patches of trees and grassland. In the distance Gilgamesh could see a patch of houses and civilization that was just visible beyond the waves of heat rising above the grass.
My Kingdom will reign once again.
Gilgamesh started his path onto the town, with his golden boots kicking up sand. As he got closer to the village he could see the influx of trees and grass increasing until he was surrounded by the town, the buildings looking dated and the ground looks fresh. Gilgamesh looked disgustingly at the people around him, the dirty things. They walked by not even acknowledging his presence, he needed to remind them that he was their King!
His face was seething with disgust, I will teach these mongrels who their King is! He was about to open up his Gates of Babylon until a squad of troops walked past him, armed and alert. He gritted his teeth and immediately closed the golden portal.
Damn, I need to remind my citizens to aid me back to power. He turned away and began walking in the streets away from the troops.
"Hey there mister. Did you get lost? Might be unlucky if someone to rob ya and that fancy gold suit of yours." A voice with an obvious southern accent broke the silence. His attempt to get Gilgamesh's attention yielded no response which seemed to frustrate the man.
"Idgit. You turn to me when I'm talking to you boy." The voice called out louder this time.
Gilgamesh turned around slowly and his expression was a mixture between sullen and livid. The man he saw was no other than a commoner around these parts. He had a black cowboy hat on and a white dress shirt. The man's hand was placed upon the revolver that hung comfortably upon his waist.
"You rabid dog! You will suffer for your imprudence! Is that the way a dog like you should speak to their King!"
The man smirked and wiped his lip with his free hand. "I have no King boy! Now how about you give me that Golden suit before I put a bunch of holes…" Blood spurted from his lip and and choked. His white shirt was beginning to flood with his red-life substance. A spear with a golden shaft, ornate with rubies and emeralds was protruding from his chest and fell with the man to the ground. His blood staining the ground he was just standing on. The spear disintegrated into the sky away from the man and the gold portal that had just been opened.
"I am sad that your tainted blood had to desecrate my treasures." The King looked saddened and he quickly closed the Gate. The people around him, looked in awe of Gilgamesh. He laughed and looked at the crowd of people.
"I will not tolerate anyone who dares defile I, King Gilgamesh, my kingdom, or my subjects. For all of those who wish to serve me, I will provide protection from the filth that walk these streets!' The crowd just stood there, out of either disbelief or fear of Gilgamesh. The King frowned and his mood darkened.
"That is the wrong choice…But you all shall learn the pleasures of serving me. But if you at first wish to experience the punishments of pain, you may realize the right answer and come to me after."
He walked off away from the crowd and the bloodied corpse that had taught the town the lesson of disrespecting Gilgamesh.
