Elizabeth walked silently between the thralls of beings. her brown eyes watching carefully despite the nature of where she was. She felt odd being clad in her armor, fully armed, and still not a single person batted an eye. In this place, the clothing of the nobility might prove to be less of a disguise than what she currently wore. Strange metallic being seemed to be integrated among those who strode around, or at least those wearing carapaces of metal and thin wire. Surprisingly enough for one as well versed in the ways of life as Elizabeth was, this was none too surprising.
The gate she had picked grew in size the closer and closer she got to it, intricate stone carved into a doorway to another world.
Even at a distance Elizabeth saw the craftsmanship that had gone into the architecture of this place. “Meistra be praised.” She said aloud as she burst into a run heading towards her goal.
A man clad in strange armor bumped into her, a deft hand reaching into the pack nestled in her white leather armor. Fingers clenched tightly to a small vial as it quickly was withdrawn from her possession. The blatant attempt to pickpocket her was not unnoticed by the assassin who grabbed the man’s wrist in a lightning fast clamplike grip.
“What are you doing miss?” The man asked quickly, releasing the bottle from his hand sending it to the floor where the intricate glass bottle shattered, spilling the vile poison held within upon the floor. The greyish liquid contrasted with the solid white floor of the Nexus. A frown crept its way to the noblewoman’s face as she looked at the somewhat well groomed thief.
“You will pay for the return of my potion.” Her stern face betrayed nothing but anger, the poison was easy enough to replace especially since she could recreate the vial en mass should she need to if what Omni had said was true, regardless she wanted this petty thief to learn a lesson, not to mention she intended to fully hide the fact she had been labeled as a… “prime.”
“The would be thief looked at the leather clad woman eyeing the somewhat form fitting features of the white leather. “You a prime aincha? Why not just magic yourself another with your fancy omnilium.”
“You are confused.” She said quietly, I'm no prime, just a humble hunter.” She replied quietly before pushing the man back, releasing her hold on his wrist. “I accept gold, two coins to be precise” She said to the man.
He looked her over appraising the attempt he had made on her and debating the best course of action, no one from the sound of coruscant had found made of gold, everything was paid for in credits. Since she wasn't a prime he could stick her with his vibroblade, andrun, not pay anything. Doing so however he would risk the ire of the EPD.
Elizabeth watched carefully, her eyes trained by years of hunting men, watching the subtle twitches of the man's eyes as he considered his options.
“I assure you if you attempt to attack me you won't survive the attempt.” She said in a near whisper, her voice relaying the deadly intent behind her words
“That won't be necessary.” The man said quickly, removing that option from his list of options on the table for him.
“You don't have gold do you?” She said, assessing him based on the clothing and way he was acting.
“No….” The man said with a slight pause questioning whether or not he would have to fight for his life over something so simple as a potion bottle.
“Very well then” Elizabeth said as she opened a small leather pouch and withdrew a small worn piece of parchment paper. “I will call it a fair trade if you provide me a list of places of interest to visit.” the assassin said quietly.
“Places of interest eh? The man said with mild scepticism “Where are you from girl?” He asked her eyeballing her body with a fine toothed comb.
Elizabeth didn't even wait to think about her reply, saying “Nippur” recalling the location being mentioned by a passerby as she walked around the nexus.
“In those clothes honey?” The man said slyly “Aren't you a bit overdressed for the desert?” His voice shifted to that of a stereotypical rogue.
Elizabeth's face didn't change, as she replied. Rebuking the roguelike voice was a simple enough task for the noblewoman who had been forced to endure the same states and constant ridicule of those around her.
“Nay, you bumbling fool. I've dressed for where I'm going.” She said as she pointed at the gate she was heading towards. Saying a silent prayer to her goddess that her chosen location was one with a colder climate similar to those of Vestura.
The answer seemed to hold water as the man glanced at the gate. “ The frozen fields eh? Nasty place. Not somewhere I'd go willingly.” He said, dropping the suave voice that had clearly done nothing for the woman.
“Very well,listen well.”
