Why can't you do it in the actual Astral Verse? If you want to go through dreams, isn't that the exact place you want to be? Simply fodder it as the old dream place he went to being replaced with the Astral Verse. So he ends up there when he tries to go to it.

However, it is a great advantage to be able to do so. When ready, you may exit the Astral Realm to anywhere within a short distance of where you entered.
