Beach Filler Episode (OPEN)
#97
Meanwhile, Rosie was up next. Dust was expecting roughly the same kind of story as Molly's. Not really a scary story that haunts your room at night, but one that torments your mind and heart. The contractor distracted himself from the feeling of doing something wrong by what Gildart’s said, and focused on the story.

Between the feline’s acting and the story she was telling, Dust was pulled in. Where some of the adults, if not most of them, weren’t impressed by all this, the kid at heart in him was drawn into the story. The crackling fire only added to the atmosphere, shadows played on Rosie’s face and made the scary parts even scarier. Inside he knew it was just a story, but she had him hooked.

By the end of her story, he was feeling a cold sweat across his back. However, she wasn’t done playing with his emotions.

‘The moral of the story, everything requires a price, especially the supernatural.’ Echoed through his mind.

Dust felt the eyes of the wolf staring him down at that point, it bore through into his soul and made Rosie’s words that much heavier. He glanced at Hoseki before he locked his gaze on Takezo. His eyes lingered there, before he looked away and at the fire, having already abandoned the skewer he had nothing to fiddle with except his own fingers while the next person took their turn for a story.
