White voids and Black Coffee
#5
Gaston looked puzzled at his speech, tilting his head in confusion.
"You're... beat? I'm a bluenose? Queer? What is any of this meant to mean!" Flabbergasted, Gaston tried to calm down, remembering what happened the last time he let his anger and confusion overtake him. Placing his face in his hands, he began breathing slowly, when suddenly a sound he had ignored before filled his mind. A strange sound, like an odd type of music that seemed to be coming from the man. And yet the man appeared not to have any instruments, nor did he seem to be singing. "Excuse me, but is that sound supposed to be music? And how are you playing it?" Nothing about what this man was doing made any sense. Omni had said this world was not like the one he knew, and so far, that was certainly true. Gaston had only been here a brief amount of time, and had already found a strange man that spoke in an odd manner and could make music with no instrument, and a giant lake with a board over it. Truly this was a strange world. But somehow he'd find a way to survive in it. Because he was Gaston. And no one adapts like Gaston. No one.
