"The Tangled Green?"

Millie's eyes flicked up to meet Arle's, and a silent moment passed between them before the dark-skinned woman vaulted up onto the ancient wooden table and took Arle's face fully in both hands. The shocked mage girl blushed and tried not to wither under the soul piercing gaze from the secondary warrior.

"Y...yesh?" she said through bunched cheeks. Millie blinked once and smiled widely.

"Omigod! Yes! We have to go to the greens! Um..." Millie stood up on the table and tapped her chin briefly for a moment, much to the disdain of a passing librarian owl. Mr. Jingles also cast an annoyed glance up at Millie, having been ejected from Arle's lap when the young woman had been wrenched to her feet.

"Elves! They have elves there. Elves know magic. Probably better magic than these dusty fops." Millie said, waving her hand dismissively at the highly educated and deeply skilled wizards flitting between the shelves. The light of the waning midday sun trickled down through the stained glass onto Millie's matte grey leg armor, tracing eldritch patterns across its scuffed and pitted surface. Arle wasn't entirely sure just what kind of warrior Millie was, but it was clear that she had seen her way through more than a few battles.

"Oh! One other thing! We need to get you a library card, girl! We can take all this shit with us. You can read it while I drive!" Millie said, gesturing at the stack of eldritch tomes before hopping off the table. Arle blinked once. Drive? Like a carriage? That would be nice! As if of their own accord, the library books lifted themselves off of the table and trailed behind Millie like a train of paper and bindery. At second glance, however, Arle noticed that they were actually following Mr. Jingles, who was creeping along under the table.

"We'll just have to stop by my hotel room before we head out!" the mercenary girl called back, walking towards the front desk...
And, we dream of home I dream of life out of here Their dreams are small My dreams don't know fear I got my heart full of hope I will change everything No matter what I'm told How impossible it seems We did it before And we'll do it again We're indestructible Even when we're tired And we've been here before Just you and I
Don't try to rescue me I don't need to be rescued
