Cool, are there any other forts currently under siege? Or is it just kinda waiting for the big battle to go down?

Wendy Garrison is the last above-ground stronghold remaining. All the others are taken. Behind Wendy Garrison is the main entrance to the cave system where the bulk of the Koopa Kingdom lies. If Wendy's falls, then it'll be rough going for the rest of the kingdom.
