Beach Filler Episode (OPEN)

[Clownpiece]

This had been a fun little trip, Clownpiece thought. She closed her eyes and stretched her arms up, mouth opening up in a wide yawn. The warm sunlight beat against her body, and as good as it felt, it was time to head out. Her eyes opened back up, and she blinked against the bright light. But where to? She wondered, slowly gazing across the beach. First things first, she should probably find Cirno and see if she wanted to come with, or at least tell her what her plans were. It wasn’t good to leave people in the dark, after all. No sooner had she thought that, then her heart sank in her chest, a cold sweat springing up on her forehead.

“I uh...” she mumbled to herself, mouth turned up in an awkward grin, complete with a nervous laugh. “I forgot about Dane, didn’t I?” The hell fairy glanced around nervously, thinking back to the events of Dante’s Abyss. She had told him she was gonna meet in the Nexus, didn’t she? Right before they got the last drop. She buried her face in her hands, and just stood there, basking in her own stupidity, before straightening back up. That was her next course of action decided. She needed to find Cirno, tell her what was up, and book it towards the Nexus. Hopefully she’d be fast enough and he wouldn’t be gone yet. With that in mind, she lifted up out of the sand, and promptly let out a high-pitched scream as another large hand suddenly closed around her own.

“Woah sorry ‘bout surprisin’ you like that,” a gruff voice sounded from behind the star-studded fae, and she whipped around in midair to face it.

“Oh, it’s just you,” she said with a sigh of relief. It was one of the nice men from earlier, large, imposing, and dressed nicely in a tailored suit.

“Yeah, the boss has somethin’ extra for you,” he said as he dug into his pocket with his free hand. He pulled out a small device of some sort, which looked like a mini-version of the tablet that had been handed out in DA. “Said he’s gonna keep in contact. Says your... “skills” might come in handy for him.”

“Oh cool! Thanks!” A bright smile spread across her face as she gratefully accepted the mini-tablet.

“See you ‘round, kid.” With that said, the man released her hand and walked away, soon disappearing into the crowded pier. Now with both of her hands full, Clownpiece again took to the sky, humming a cheery tune as she scanned for her icy friend.

“And that’s how you make calls on that,” Cirno wrapped up her quick instructions on how use the phone the hell fairy had been given. With her explanations finished, the ice fairy leaned back in her chair again, taking a sip from some fruity drink.

“Oh wow that’s pretty handy!” Clownpiece said, staring in rapture at the device in her hand. In her readiness to get off the beach, the infernal fairy had already changed out of her swimwear, and was back in her star-spangled dress and tights, her jester cap back on her head. “Alright! See you later!” she lifted into the sky, waving goodbye to her chilly friend. “See you wherever we decide to meet!” Cirno waved back as she left.
