Fluer slipped hurriedly the crowd along the pier, trying desperately to stop the trail of destruction the little fairy was leaving in her wake. She pushed through the crowd, and heard a high pitched squeak, and for a split second she locked eyes with an aggressive looking fairy. The same fairy who had been causing all the mayhem on the pier?
Perhaps a better trained volunteer lifeguard, or a more culturally enlightened one, would have been able to tell the difference in that split second. Fluer did not.
"Stupfy!" Fluer shouted, and a jet of red light exploded from her wand, but the fairy was too fast and whizzed out of the way.
"Peski Pixie Peskanomi!" she tried, to no apparent effect.
"Accio!" Fluer finally cried, pointing her wand at the startled pixie, who screamed cutely as she zoomed into the witches hand. Fluer glared and pointed a glowing wand at the fairy in her hand.
"You 'ave been a bad Pixie!" she scolded as the fairy struggled vainly. "What do you 'ave to say for yourself?"
The fairy bit down HARD on Fluer's finger, causing the witch to scream in surprise and throw the innocent fairy to the ground.
She began to walk over to the defeated fairy, when she heard someone scream.
"Fire!" came a voice.
Fluer jigglesprinted through the crowd, following the smoke and the screams. She came upon the still burning remains of the kissing booth, wreathed in some kind of hissing Fyndefire.
"Aguamenta!" Fluer cried hoarsely, the hellsmoke burning in her lungs. A thick stream of water spat from the tip of her wand, but evaporated as it touched the dancing flames. She thought she heard them laugh. The crowd began to scream as the fire crept along the pier.
Fluer tried desperately to spread the water around the area, to dampen the wood around the kissing booth, but to no avail; the fire crept forward.
"Confrigo!" Fluer cries finally, and a bolt of orange light shoots from her wand blows a gaping hole in the pier at the edge of the kissing booth.
"Confrigo!" She repeats, blasting another hole next to it. "Confrigo Confrigo CONFRIGO!"
Bolt after bolt of orange light blew big holes in the pier surrounding the burning booth, until finally the pier gave way and the flaming attraction tumbled into the ocean.
Fluer looks around at the silent and bewildered pedestrians.
"Is ok," she assures them, breathing hard. "I am zee Lifeguard."
The pedestrians continue to mill about, as pedestrians tend to do.
"Where," Fluer hisses dangerously. "Eez zat PIXIE?"
