Zedd chuckled as he reoriented himself and began to make his way towards the Coruscant gate, with Freeza and his newest lackey in tow. As much as it pleased him to finally be able to one up somebody in knowledge about this miserable existence, it did frustrate him that Freeza had recruited a hapless minion mere seconds after his arrival. All Zedd had run across was Desh, the peons assigned to him by Desh, and the azure atrocity that he couldn’t seem to rid himself of.
“I am Lord Freeza,” the odd alien said as they moved, as they had skipped past the pleasantries in their previous conversation. “The ruler of the World Trade Organization, and the most powerful being to ever live.”
“And I am Lord Zedd,” the skinless monster replied quickly. “Emperor of all I see.”
Freeza let a sly grin form on his face at Zedd’s statement, while Serraph took the time to continue observing these strange primes.
“I feel that had we met prior to this land, we might have been worthy adversaries,” Freeza commented, testing the reactions of the strange individual.
“Perhaps we already did,” Zedd swiftly and condescendingly replied. “And perhaps I already murdered you without ever learning your identity.”
Freeza chuckled aloud. He would not struggle for an insignificant victory. Zedd could have this meaningless one. His quiet laughter did not go unnoticed by Zedd, but neither of them commented further.
Zedd scoffed as he walked. It was a sound theory, within his own mind. There were few whose might he truly respected, and not even Omni was not among them. Therefore, none in this realm were of any real interest and concern to him. Were it a fair battlefield, none of this scheming and politicking would be necessary. He would take what was his the way he prefered: by force.
It was silent as they made their way towards Coruscant. None of their trio had much to say, though for differing reasons. Instead, they were all left to their own thoughts as they traveled.
“Is this entire world so droll?” Freeza finally asked as they walked through the plain white nothingness.
“Beyond the gate to Coruscant lies a multilevel city, the type only seen in the most advanced of civilizations,” Zedd explained, with the portal now in sight. “It can be awe inspiring and stunning if you aren’t used to it. I, of course, have burned greater worlds to the ground.”
“Interesting,” Freeza admitted in a noncommittal tone as they walked up to the guarded arches.
“Nice work in the Colosseum, Zedd,” one of the stormtroopers commented upon seeing the Imperial prime.
“Yea, welcome back,” his partner added on.
Zedd ignored them and turned to Freeza and Serraph. “Beyond here is Coruscant, and where the true might of the Omniverse lies. As amusing as it is to see the unwise and weak get slaughtered, I’ll give you a fair warning because I’m feeling nice. Whatever you were before this land is nothing to the might the Empire will bring down if you act up in their verse.”
Freeza’s eyes narrowed, but Zedd gave him no time for a response. The skinless overlord turned around and disappeared into the portal.
