Dust Devils sounds badass to me, moreso than cartoonish. Lords of Sand and Sky sounds epic, but maybe TOO epic? As in, like Harry said, it's a bit of a mouthful. Also, where'd the sky part come from?

Lords of Sand and Thunder then? Acronyms down to L.O.S.T. So, we could be a T.V. show.

Sky was a reference to lightning coming from the sky.

Still not much caring for Dust Devils, mainly because it's SO non-threatening. "Who rules here?" "The Dust Devils."

"Watch out! The Dust Devils are coming!"

I can see how it COULD be bad-ass. But only if we were like.. bandits. We're trying to rule over all here.

This groups sounds . . . useful.
Inlumia is always looking for ways to expand his influence and control as well as a bit of fun.
Taking control of a verse and lessening the influence of a totaltarian regiem would be in lines with what his faith strives for. Backstabbing and manipulation of fellow members would be expected, of course.
Still, he wouldn't want TTWNN to break away from Coruscant yet; it can be very useful as a pawn. While the Empire is supplying the town, they can stockpile their assets and maybe trade the good elsewhere for other assets the town can use.
Other groups this group and Inlumia would be at odds with include Dracula and Diablo.
Nice to have allies whoes death and horrible mutilations you don't have to worry about.

The Town with No Name isn't really affiliated with Coruscant in any sense of the word.

Proto is right. The TWNN is more of an independent entity. However, they do rely on Coruscant for supplies. The Empire DOES have a presence nearby.

So, to res this topic, I would like to ask for feedback on my last post. It is a mature one with some potentially upsetting content - I tried to be as true to each character as I could.

So, I obviously haven't been able to catch all of you guys' storyline, but I read Ganondorf's most recent post earlier and then backtracked and just read through this whole most recent thread and I wanted to pop in and tell you guys how much I loved it.

Enel and Ganondorf are both such engaging, intriguing characters the way you've crafted them, and the fact that I could get that from the very limited dose of them that this thread presents astounds me. I liked reading this little story because it was very much accessible to people who didn't have all the context, like myself; I was able to catch up on the necessary lore without reading the other threads in full, though it has inspired me to go back and read as much as I can of you guys' interaction, which I assume is extensive.

As far as, like, style goes, my favorite thing about you guys as writers (particularly here, of course) is the way you guys' action feels very living. I find it difficult to write action scenes, so reading something like "Enel wreathed her in lightning," where I can clearly picture it but at the same time it isn't overly-descriptive, is cool.

I don't know if the torture of Firani came across as brutal as you intended it, Enel -- if you intended it to very brutal at all -- but I appreciated the simplicity of it, and the little details like Firani spitting blood really colored it for me, and made me use my imagination to fill in some of the blanks; for example, I imagined her spitting more blood (although maybe not purposefully) each time Enel punched her following that.

Overall, and I've gone on too long, but I loved this little thread and wanted to pop in and say that. Oh, and if you guys are still looking for more faction members, two of the characters I'm considering for my alt might fit in well?

Thanks a great deal, Mickey. In terms of the torture… Looking over, yeah it's not particularly brutal. I guess in this storyline a lot of the stuff that takes place between the end of my posts and the start of Ganon's next post is what we didn't want to show. Essentially my post fades to black, and then you can imagine exactly what happened when you next see her in Ganondorf's post.
