Question on Character Creation...

Hi.. so I'm new, and before I create a character I just wanted to ask a few things... so here it goes.

With creating original characters, are we allowed to give them powers/ traits from an origin that they don't actually belong to?
for example, if I were to create a character and say, have them be a saiyan, but they aren't any of the Saiyans from the actual dragon ball
cannon, or if I wanted said character to be a soul reaper.

Also, just another quick question, if my Shikai and Bankai (counting them as transformations) affect the sword which I have to buy (which is being called my zanpakuto) how do I go about explaining that/ buying that if necessary?

This was sort of answered in your join topic, but I'm pretty sure those count as Transformations. For example, in the Fight Rules Example you'll see that Alundra uses 'sword release' as a Transformation, which is basically just unleashing the true power from within his blade. Anything that increases your stats for more than a single move is a Transformation. (and just for the move example, I mean stuff like you can charge up your sword for one epic strike without needing a transformation. That'd just be a move, or a super move. But if you power it up and then run around hitting people with it and using other moves, that's a Transformation and needs to be purchased as such)
