REMODEL OF COHERENCY

Current Events: THE EVENT IS NOW FULL BUT YOU MAY STILL SUBMIT CHARACTERS IN CASE OF DROPOUTS OR A SCRATCH
 • Finalize character profiles
 • FInalize lands and quests
 • Post testing.

Schedule:

April:  LAST WEEK OF APRIL NOW, so you guys need to prepare, run what your character is gonna be doing through your head, maybe test a few posts in the whateververse or something, because NEXT WEEK EVERYONE SPAWWWWWNS
May: Players begin their life in the omniverse, or at least, our perception of it. Players will be starting their development and creating their relationships with other players. Can't play an apocalypse game with people you have never met. It shall go as follows.
 • Players will all have each other on pesterOmni. Up to the players how they feel about each other.
 • Players will introduce their houses and rooms, as well as their interests.  They will also establish their Strife Specibus.
 • Hints of the game will be dropped, as well as a release date towards the end fo April, where the players will begin to either plot their connections or  simply wait until its release.
 • Event Runners will be pre-writing other events, such as the formation of Skaia and the Moon among other SBURB related things.
 • Depending on how we want to do this, some dreamers may be able to awaken on their moons before game start, but not interrupt its process. This will most likely be available for the veterans who know more than the average person about Homestuck, as they will be able to freely move about the world without many aides from event runners.
June: Players will begin to enter the Medium, as well as prototype their Kernelsprites to advance Skai's battlefield. Now, remember, there are consequences based on your prototyping or lack thereof. The game will then move at the pace of its players as the world shapes around them and they play the game of their lives.

Classpects (Courtesy of Jade) - Use this thread to help yourself with trying to figure out the Classpect of your character. It can be a complicated process, so don't be afraid to give me, Jade, Gamzee, Adam, or Tartaros a PM for more in depth info.  Here is a nice TLDR for each Class, courtesy of Tartaros:
CLASSES

A player's class main function is to influence how they interact with and use (or are used by) their aspect. Think of an aspect as a sword, and the class as how the player uses it. Classes also work on a for the most part unknown scale of "active" to "passive", though you won't really need to worry about that for now.
 • Rogue - Typically assigned to a female player, though not exclusively, the Rogue can take their aspect from something and distribute it to others. Think of their abilities in a similar manner to Robin Hood, taking from one and giving to others.
 • Thief - The Thief's abilities are based around taking their aspect from others for their own personal benefit. For example, Vriska was able to manipulate outcomes in her favour through "luck" as a Thief of Light.
 • Heir - The abilities of the Heir are for the most part somewhat of an unknown. They seem to be "protected"/consumed by their aspect in subtle ways.
 • Maid - Like the Heir (and most classes) the Maid's abilities are hard to pin down. Though, they seem to use their aspect to repair and protect others.
 • Page -  Ohhhhh boy. This one is fun. A Page is based around untapped potential and the ability to "create" their aspect an use it for the benefit of others. While they initially start of very weak and inhibited from achieving some sort of goal, if they overcome it they can be one of the most powerful classes in SBURB.
 • Knight - The Knight is pretty simple to classify. The Knight is protector, using their class almost like a weapon for the benefit of the session and the group.
 • Seer - The Seer is also explored rather in-depth in the comic, much like the Knight. They seem to use their knowledge of their aspect to guide others. As an example Terezi, as a Seer of Mind, could use her knowledge of people's reactions and cause and effect to guide the session and her fellow players.
 • Mage - The Mage is one of the hardest to classify. They seem to use knowledge of their aspect to their own benefit, however. It is also theorized that they forfeit their aspect itself for knowledge pertaining to it.
 • Sylph - The Sylph is a class based around "healing" others using their aspect. They also seem to be generally level-headed and calm on the surface, but occasionally prone to fits of anger. Areana as a Sylph of Light could help people "see" things, both in a literal and figurative sense, and seemed obsessed with explaining things. much like I'm doing now
 • Witch - The Witch is like the Sylph, however they manipulate their aspect to help in a far more literal sense. Jade as a Witch of Space is quite literally able to control matter, shrinking, growing and moving it as she pleases once she reached God Tier.
 • Prince - Hoooo boy, these last two are a shitstorm. The Prince is one who destroys, or destroys with their aspect. They also act much in opposition of their aspect, and are an extremely powerful offensive class. Eridan as a Prince of Hope, was rather ruthless and prone to fits of anger, much like a Rage player, while Kurloz, a Prince of Rage was seemingly calm and collected in every situation and Dirk, a Prince of Heart was reserved and calculating much like a Mind player.
 • Bard - The Bard is the "wildcard" class, alternating between shying away from their aspect much like a Prince, and embracing it completely. Gamzee as a Bard of Rage, for example, acts much like a Hope player most of the time, with his religion and belief in "MiRaClEs", but goes into a berserk, genocidal rage if pushed hard enough.
Oh, and there's also the Lord and Muse classes, but they're relative unknowns and only seem to appear in two-player sessions. They seem to deal with their aspects on the largest and smallest scales respectively. The Lord commanding absolute control over their aspect, or at least trying to, and the Muse passively inspiring others with theirs. Now, that's about it for classes. I'll type up aspects later because I've been writing this shit for like an hour now. PM me or someone else if you want any more specifics though. Hope this helped!
PesterOmni(Courtesy of Jade) - Jade has written some sweet and simple instructions about using PesterOmni, be familiar with this, as this is how you will most likely interact with others, mostly since you guys will all be internet buddies IC.

Basic of SBURB - I have taken some text of the wiki for the game of SBURB, now, I took out what spoilers or whatever pertaining to specifically Homestuck that I could, but many of the links in the first list are clickable, so you can navigate around if you want more solid info. Now, if you still have questions, or would like one of us to run through it with you, contact me, Jade, Gamzee, Adam, or Tartaros with a PM and we will help you out.

Alternatively, you can read Rose's tutorial(Character from Homestuck) about the basics of the first steps of the game, a bit more in depth on it than the one above, if you don't mind reading through all of this.

Strife Specibi- Now this is mostly for ideas, but you can suggest stuff as you would like.  a lot of the development of your weapon will be by talking to us, so any basic one will do.

Character Format:

NOTE: It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you use an OC for this event, as they will be starting out with next to nothing and gaining power throughout it, and it's possible that it may not mesh well with certain characters. You may still do it if you wish. SELF-INSERTS ARE ENCOURAGED.

Now, these will be SECONDARIES ONLY. This is because the threat of death is very much real, and there will be a chance of everyone failing as well. The session can easily fall into chaos and you guys might all die, but the event runners will try to prevent that. :frogbon:

The small, bird-like inhabitants of this land keep trying to build higher and stronger walls, only to have them incinerated every time. It is up to the Seer's job to 'learn the will of the stars', in that the shining spheres actually have an intricate pattern of movement that can be mapped. Once this is done, the Seer can teach the inhabitants how to build around the stars' movement.

When are you shooting for this to actually happen? I would LOVE to do this... but I am in no position to crank out a secondary in a month and give him some cool adventures without it coming off as rushed.

Most likely prewriting will start in May, in which you can start having your characters kinda just spawn in the omniverse wherever, having the others as Omnichums. It will mostly just be up to the players what relationships they want to create with each other, friends, enemies, etc. However, the whole thing wont kick off till about late May/early June, in which they will start having to head into the Medium. For now just the name, pesteromni, and the info info i mentioned would be necessary, and you have till the end of this month to do so. Your own character development, especially with the other players will probably happen within May.

Quote:Sburb is the human name for a sandbox-style game that takes place superimposed over the real world, rather than in a virtual space. In the game, the server player is able to manipulate the client's environment in real time in a manner reminiscent of The Sims.
Playing the game results in a meteor shower that destroys the home planet of those playing the game. To escape certain death, they have to collaborate with their server player to enter the Medium, where they will be able to explore and complete quests on a Land (planet) of their very own. They will also be able to dream on the moons Derse and Prospit, with a separate body/dream self.

One important objective of the game is to reach god-tier, unlocking a whole battalion of neat powers that allow you control over your Aspect [ex: Space] based upon your Class [ex. Witch]. Certain very powerful enemies will work to make your life a living hell. The primary objective of the game is, presumably, to create a new universe and preside over it as that universe's gods. Or just to get majorly dope powers.

That's the really, really basic idea.

Eh, you'd have to classify 'em first. Chara would probably be an Heir/Lord of Rage, or maybe a Lord of Time if you go with the weird ass Time = destruction theory. Then again, the idea of a murderous sociopath probably ain't all that easy to make work in a kinda team-focused game like SBURB, and the Lord class is waaaayyyy too vague to really be used in any meaningful sense.

Also, on topic, might be a little too busy to do this, but it seems like a cool idea. Might even see if I can help run it. EXECUTIONER JUDGE TARTAROS. :frogbon:

The Lord commanding absolute control over their aspect, or at least trying to, and the Muse passively inspiring others with theirs. Now, that's about it for classes. I'll type up aspects later because I've been writing this shit for like an hour now. PM me or someone else if you want any more specifics though. Hope this helped!
