Thor emerged from the Camelot/Nexus gate, feeling the usual rush from the momentary separation of himself from his hammer. It did not matter weather his Hammer was the first through the gate or if it was his person proper that took the step out of one verse and into another. The separation from his Hammer made him feel weak and vulnerable. He released a breath he had been unconsciously holding as his Hammer followed his arm through the portal. The Red-Hood did not take long to follow his Asgardian companion into the alabaster expanse of the Nexus. The former hero of Gotham turned toward the portal to the Ashen Steppes he noticed something was off. Thor was not following. Thor starred at the Tiny shapes of the primes as they dashed around each other near the fountain of rebirth. One combatant in particular stood out to him. Thor watched the multi-colored giant, radiating power with each vicious swing of his arm. The other primes seemed as insects, in need of swatting, when compared to this demonic god among gods. "At last!" Thor said loud enough for his companion to hear. "An enemy worthy of the God of Thunder!" Thor laughed. Perhaps an enemy as strong as this could make him forget for a moment the people of Midgard. Make him forget Jane, and Sif, and all the others he was leaving undefended by remaining trapped in this dream of glory. He took a step toward the battle.
"Don't, we have a dragon to slay and a God to kill. Let them deal with their own problems." Red said from behind him.
Thor turned and began to walk toward the gate to the Ashen Steppes.
"You are right, Thank you my friend."
