Making my first character and need help with his abilities.

Name: Strygwyr, The Bloodseeker
From: DOTA2
Backstory: His gods require a lot of blood sacrifices. He goes out amidst carnage to satisfy them.

Abilities:
1. Berserker rage: a transformation that boosts atk and probably also spd and tec. However, it also silences its target (which for now will be Bloodseeker until I get debuff proficiency, then i will use it to silence and damage enemies) and causes a small amount of health damage over time while it is active. +5 stats normally costs 1000OM, but I want to know if I can take a few extra points due to the detrimental health loss and silence that it causes. How much damage would I take for and extra few stat points? Help me clarify this.

2. Life Detect: Bloodseeker can sense the wounded and dying wherever they are if their condition is severe enough. 800OM

3. Thirst: Sensing wounded beings ANYWHERE triggers a super speed power. 1000OM

4. Blood Bath: Being splashed with blood, usually upon killing a target, heals Bloodseeker somewhat. If he keeps successfully killing, he can keep going like an unstoppable monster from hell. Is this a power? How much does it cost? How much can it heal? It's vital to my character's function. ~1000OM?

5. Rupture: Superpower/Finishing Move. I will have to wait until lvl 2 and take debuff proficiency to get this. This causes the target's body to basically break open and start hemorrhaging blood. The amount of blood lost and the rate severely increases if they keep moving. What is the OM cost, and can I spend 1-2SP on it?

Beserkers normally have low finesse. How about transfering some of your Tech to the other areas?
Sadly, transformations cost, and you need to be level 2

Especially in regards to really 'gamey' effects like having people rupture blood but be TOTALLY FINE (I'm looking at any rogue class's abilities from any videogame), it really needs to be translated into a real-world effect. Hell, even in the League of Legends cinematics you see most of them dodging and parrying rather than just stabbing each other repeatedly, because that would be really weird. The same goes for effects like Silence, because we don't have 'classes' like mage etc and it's not really fair to single them out in this kind of setting for some kind of greater detriment. You have to adapt them.

You can remove parts of abilities if you want (so you could buy the Life Detect power but only use it to detect the wounded) but you can't power them up unless it's legit within the moves rules. For example, Pandora has her transformations be slower for now purely because it's more fun for her that way.

Inlumia has some good ideas. Representing Blood Bath with Regen seems like your best bet, and with Berserker Rage, yeah our equivalent would be transferring from TEC to other stats. Thirst could be a combination of Super Speed and Life Detect. Rupture could be a Super Move but it might have to be weakened, or reserved for a higher level Super Move (you could always have a weaker version at level one, and then the greater version at level 2/3)

Ok I will keep the tec low for a berserker-like character. However, a "power-up" doesn't require SP, and I can afford it. An "advanced transformation" does require SP, which would make me wait until level 2, but I am not doing that one. My tec stat is pretty low already, so I will just have the Brage boost atk and maybe some spd.

I will take life detect limited to only the wounded.

Bloodbath will have to be basic regen at 1300OM, however I want it to be a constant affect triggered by his killing/bleeding enemies. Are you still going to require it cost SP? How much SP if it's constantly on? It is supposed to be an affect gifted to him by his deities, so that he can continue to feed them. Otherwise he has low def, which this is supposed to compensate for. Bloodseeker can die if he can't fight, so I don't think it's horribly overpowered.

Regeneration is very limited on this RPG for balance reasons, so the answer is basically a no.

You might've misread the transformations bit because I think you got it backwards. Power-ups require SP (and you need to be at least level 2 for them). Powered-up forms work the same way. Alternate forms don't require SP.

Ok. So even powerups will require sp. I can accept that. The heal however, mechanically doesn't fit the character. Perhaps you could design something new for me. It doesn't necessarily have to work at level 1, nor does it have to be very strong at low level, but I would like some kind of conditional heal. If you want it to cost sp, then how about spending 1 so per day or something?

Keep in mind, rupture is going to take sp too. I don't think I can have everything be an sp-drain.

That kind of thing works in a videogame, but it would simply be giving you a stronger version of a heal to make it conditionally stronger. Given that, in a writing environment, that condition will be fulfilled without the luck/skill that's involved in the game. I have to set rules to keep it balanced. Not every single thing is allowed on the RPG. Anything involving regeneration or energy absorption is very limited. I have to have some boundaries.

If you want you can do a combination Super Move that does a smaller amount of damage and heals a small amount of damage. That kind of thing would be fine.

So you're saying he can have a heal, but it has to cost 1 SP per point of health returned and cost 1300OM just to get that ability? It seems exceedingly weak if that's all a character can do in a single day. Also, my friend tells me he's earning about 30 OM per post, so it would take him 30 posts to get to level 2, which would only give him 1 additional SP. Great. Now he can heal slightly bigger cuts, only on himself.

Minor Injury (1-2 damage points) A minor injury is something like a burn, cut or bruise.

That's not much. It's definitely not enough to sustain oneself in all-day battle, even if you dodge most of the attacks. I don't mind only being able to heal 1-2 points at a time, but only once for a whole 24-hour period or rest cycle? Even at level 5, which would take a hell of a lot of posts to reach, it's still not worth a blood-priest joining the battle in the first place. How do you allow vampires to heal?

I can understand swapping stat points from tec to spd for berserking, and why that won't cost sp. I just feel like the ability to heal on bloodletting is completely vital to what this character is and shouldn't use up the SP that is going to be needed for his supermove. It's like he can only have one or the other.

What I would like you to do is not to give me a yes or a no, but to help me make up a power that you would permit. What if we capped the heal to a max of x points per day? what about making it 1 point per hour? How about it costs 1 Sp to have it "active" that day, and then it would work on condition? That only leaves me with 1 other SP point, at level 2, to use Rupture. So in essence, Rupture would only be available once per day or per rest period. I could write with that stipulation.

And speaking of the Rupture ability. It would be a spell that causes wounds, obviously, but it would temporarily prevent blood clotting. Thus, a person who lies still won't take extra damage, but if a person were to run away, they would bleed to death.

I'm imaging this character being weakened and changed when he gets to your world, but I want to know if there is any hope of building him close to what he was. I think he's a fascinating personality, and has a cool backstory and a motivation that would be fun to interact with for other players. It's a shame that technicalities have to get in the way of story.
