Power Rings - How do?

It's not limitless powers, it's one power that looks different every time he uses it. It does the same damage in the same method every single time, it just LOOKS different. All I'm asking for is the ability to have cosmetic differences to align with, you know, the CHARACTER I'm trying to play. I don't expect to have a power ring now or even soon, I just want to have the cost set so that I can work towards it.

EDIT: the way I'm reading your responses is that I'm going to have to spend infinite OM so that he can have the same damage potential with a melee weapon, which is insane.

A giant axe is not the same as a dagger. It's not. Like I said, you can buy different sizes of melee weapons that do the same thing, have the same range, and look different like a longsword and katana.

The cost of the ring will depend on the number of things it can do. 300 OM per use. You decide what it can do, and I'll give you the numbers.

The ring can fire a concentrated beam of yellow hard-light when Sinestro concentrates. This can take the form of a single beam or appear as any other ranged weapon Sinestro can dream up. Sinestro put more energy into each shot, the strength of which relates directly to how physically and mentally drained he is after the attack. These weapons and projectiles will immediately dissipate upon his breaking his concentration for any reason.

Hard-Light Shield:
Sinestro is covered in a yellow aura that protects him from attacks and environmental effects. The more he focuses, the more damage the shield can take, but the the more physically and mentally drained he is after the defense.

Hard-Light Tethers:
In the same way that Sinestro can manipulate objects in creative ways, he can also manipulate characters. Iron chains, ribbons of light, crushing snakes can all be used. In general, these tethers always accomplish the same goal: they slow a character down and they immobilize their arms. However, these shackles can be broken just like any other item: hitting, cutting and ripping free in a feat of strength are all options. Additionally, if he loses his concentration, the tethers immediately dissipate. The more energy he puts into these tethers, the harder they are to break but the more physically and mentally exhausted he becomes.

You need to choose a basic shape for those melee weapons, like sword/spear (fine to group those together) or something with a big thing on the end like hammer/axe/scythe (again, I'd group those) or something like a giant wheel/shuriken-shaped weapon. Once done, those are all fine at 300 per.

Ranged wep: Is this part "Sinestro put more energy into each shot, the strength of which relates directly to how physically and mentally drained he is after the attack." correct with the 'AFTER' bit? Seems like 'before' would be more appropriate. Just checking. You also still need to specify how strong it can be. Again, probably 600 OM for this but needs clarification.

Shield is still 300 OM, still needs Wide prof.

Tethers is still 600 OM.

I think after is appropriate, like how after goku fires a big energy thing he's tired after he uses it? Does that make sense? I may have written it crazy style.

As far as shape goes, does "Top heavy" and "long/balanced" work as separate ones to generally describe those two work? I think he'll not be using any kind of circular thing that aren't ranged and thus operate like his other projectiles.

So long as they travel at the same speed, rate of fire, have the same "mass" and do the same damage, is there more stuff we need to do? If I take out the "charged" part, does that clear out any issues?

Just need to know how far it can go. So like, can it go to the point where a single use leaves him completely drained, unable to move, but the attack is really really strong (for a non-super move)? 'Sinestro put more energy into each shot' could potentially mean up to that point, and I'd up it to 900 if that was the case.

The 900 point solution sounds about appropriate to me. Lanterns HAVE blasted with such strength that it's completely drained them or their rings.
