1- I'm trying to think up more moves for my character and find myself having a difficult time.
Inspire me! Post your favorite move (whether its yours or another character's) below! Only one please, or if there's a tie between your favs go right ahead! (I just don't want to be liked to an entire profile and not know what I'm supposed to see >.<)
2- third character.
It's that time of year! With the news of the spots being open, I'm thrilled to have an opportunity to make a third prime.
The real question is, WHO?
In my opinion, the third character I will choose will be nothing like the characters I have, who are noble and brave. So this means I'll probably consider someone who is an anti-hero, or... A villain.
That's about as far as I've gotten, but I have plenty of time to think it over. the rest of my life
Anyway, I made this topic in case anyone had advice or input on the matter, and I kind of wanted my own place to scheme and take suggestions!

Heyo! I'd be happy to help you out, but can you answer me these first?
1- What character do you want moves for? Is it for both, for just one of 'em, should they be "realistic" or can they be supernatural, like say, Kamehameha?
2- Kind of a similar question, can you provide any ideas on a general "direction" of characters you were considering? Because anti-hero/villain can go anywhere from Sherlock Holmes (in the BBC series, he's kind of an antihero, I'd say) all the way to Maleficient and Sauron.

1 both characters but I had my OC Caira in mind as I was writing this. I like natural moves, she's a Mage but also uses a sword and magic (elemental) so I have a lot to work with. She doesn't like to hurt people though, so I have to keep that in mind when I write up her skill set and moves
2 Sherlock Holmes actually popped into my mind XD, but I don't want someone who is so clever it takes the fun and action out of a story, so I guess I don't want someone witty. And I want someone who is relatable, at least, in the sense where I can make the reader understand why he wants to "wage war on secondaries" or steal valuable items or murder people with little regard. We had a character a LONG while back and I really liked the way he did his. It was jojo's Dio, and while he tended to do a more wit-involved sequence, the suspense was quite tangible in the events he was involved in.
As for your comparisons I'd love to narrow down my general idea. I'm leaning toward an OC because I don't find I can relate to many villains without being a tad obtuse about it. I like Loki AS a villain, but I worry I wouldn't be able to play someone as mischievous as him, well enough.

Or someone who isn't superhuman space-murder-batman, but really, why choose anyone else?

Hmm, as for some of the other suggestions, these all seem like really cool characters, but I'm pretty unfamiliar with them AND their source material.
I think something that is important to me that I can relate to the villain, his/herself, and the motives that drive them. Because while I wouldn't go rob a bank, or murder people, or plot world domination, I want to connect with the reason the character has behind it.
TLDR: more deets!
Talos looks epic. Good move suggestion, thank you!
Russell looks like he is FULL of style :frogc00l:

Talos is... Talos. It's almost impossible to find someone comparable.
On one hand, he's incredibly loyal, and has only disobeyed one direct order.
Seeing as how it was to hunt down, torture, and kill the assassin that executed his prescient Father, it's somewhat understandable.
Despite waging war against the Imperium of Man for 10 millenia, he's never even considered turning to the Dark Gods, viewing worship as unforgivable weakness.
When the Avatars of the Dark Gods themselves approached him, his reaction, and I quote, was "Go back to hell."
He suffers from prophetic visions/horrible hallucinations and seizures (Which is always good RP Fodder), is a strong adherent of justice (Somewhat ironic, given his betrayal of the Emperor), can be surprisingly kind when he isn't killing, maiming, and burning a swathe of destruction across the galaxy, and has told the Warmaster of Chaos himself, Abbadon the Despoiler, to go fuck himself. He's almost certainly the bad guy, but every so often, he does something that makes you wonder. I could track down some more specific examples of badassery, if you wish, I have every book involving him.
Revolver Ocelot is a character from the Metal Gear series... I don't know much about it at all but he's essentially a human with very good revolver skills.
Moves-wise... anything that incapacitates nonlethally (would require Debuff Prof in many cases, obviously) could be a cool asset if you want your character to not kill her foes.
-Manipulate the iron of your sword to turn it into metal "rope" to bind foes with, or disarm them
-Picking up on Okor's idea, earth magic to create walls to box your opponent in or block their attacks?
-Something like a Medusa head which petrifies opponents who look at it
-Illusionary or other mind-influencing techniques that make the opponent's weapons feel heavier, draining their will to fight, forcing them to struggle with themselves rather than actually battling
-With Mimic, you could make a "Mirror Move" move (not sure if that would get approved though) which allows your character to copy an opponent's move on the fly for one use, so they hit each other in sync and cancel each other out

Revolver Ocelot is hardly just a man with good revolver skills.
He's potentially the greatest spy the world has ever known, having double and triple-crossed the Presidents of both the USSR -and- the United States on multiple occasions, and even double-crossed the secret shadow government that runs the United States from behind the scenes, in spite of having been indoctrinated/brainwashed by them.
He's absolutely a villain but he does what he does to prevent any one government from gaining too much power. In a way, he's protecting humanity from totalitarianism... except when he decides that the only way to prevent the US or another government from taking over the world is to... take over the world.

Apologies for my lateness, I've been rather absent-minded as of late. Talos, if you couldn't tell from the Pauldrons, is from the 40k universe. As for being bronze, his armour has some bronze details, but that's the extent of it.

As far as moves go...You maybe could have some magic that like, gives your blade extra properties? Question Mark? That's tricky with the way that moves work in OG, but might be worth looking into.
My vote is for russel but ah...
A word of advice for choosing a character: Be sure to diversify both source and personality. Writing with a character from the same source as your other one (i.e. fairy tale) will close a lot of doors for you, and might even cause your writing to become a little stagnant. It's good to branch out.
--EDIT--
You may even consider taking a character from somewhere other than Anime. Maybe do a book character, like Percy Jackson or something.
If you're new to Omniverse Shenanigans, feel free to pm me about whatever piques your interest!

Well for an alt I mentioned being inclined to do a villain! I'm pretty sure I'm going to, it's just a matter of deciding and getting a little more versed with the kind of villains I would want to write, which is a bit narrow. Usually the villains I like have a kick ass rival.
If you've seen psycho pass, makashima appeals to me in certain ways, and also DL mentioned that a 3rd character can be a sort of novelty, and perhaps one that is comedic but obviously I'm not looking for that, villains however can be rich and I don't have to post a lot if I don't want to, but the plot can still be solid and thick without a doubt.
As to expanding my horizons, I'm trying to, usually I incorporate NPCS or I'm trying to do storyteller things soon that will help in this way. But like you said t doesn't have to be an anime, i was considering Sirius black from harry potter because he's an AWESOME character but on the other hand, do I really want ALL my characters to be mages? Ughhhhh! So thus I'm back to villains. Will probably go with a MALE villain because I don't know if I find many female villains that actually want to kill people and such.
Makashima was added to my list, which is still pretty small. The suggestions above helped too, with villains, because while I'm still not sure which angle I'll go with, I'm excited to have options and the opportunity to try new things
