Trunks formed a relationship wit orihime during the saga, and Sasuke is orihime partner IC so it wouldn't make sense to abandon them, but I'm also aware I can't enter with both characters.

Toy could have Trunks get KOed and not able to help, or Deadpool gets hung up and can't arrive. They're a million ways to write around that problem.

I'll probably have DP tell Trunks to run off (i should be able to do that at least, since there's nothing against it to my knowledge). Not sure yet.

A second character is purely meant to be for the privilege of being able to write as another character, and not for ANY IC advantage, same as having NPCs.

With that in mind, I'd be against any second character being involved in any stage of this fight - prelude, aftermath, or whatever.
